Sugar Cane

That's a very good gateway pair. Sugarcane 1947 are what I would recommend to anyone taking steps into Japanese denim. My pair cost me less than I paid for my New Standard!
Ben, nice pick-up. I'm sure you will love wearing them.
-
@Sugar Mountain, I've never stopped wearing Sugar Cane either. I've had one pair or another in rotation for the last 9 years
-
Bring on summer heat. Just picked up the SC short sleeve Dobby from SE.
Didn't expect that only a third of the buttons button. Time saver I guess.
The kick ass mismatched buttons pushed it from nice to must have.
-
Very nice. I wish Sugarcane shirts were cut a little differently so I could wear them. The fabrics and details are stunning time after time.
-
Looking good Summer . What size are you wearing ?
-
The shirt above is a large. The fiction and romance dot is an XL, but I had to hot wash it to shrink up a bit.
-
Roighto mate , thanks Summer3 .

Waiting for some Sugarcane
Thanks Eli!

^thanks for that!

I finally took the plunge and bought a pair of Okinawas. Since I haven't worn any denim less than 18oz for about 3 years now, they feel weirdly thin and light. However, since summer is coming with a vengeance, I think I'll get over that pretty quickly. So here are the initial fit pics, for those of you who like that sort of thing.
Rear
Side
Front… hey, what the hell is my neighbor doing?
-
Yeah, they're definitely more of a "traditional" rise. They're higher than I'd like, but they aren't so high that I feel like I'm buckling my belt around my ribs.
If I've lost weight, it's from all that dancing.
-
Chris looking good mate . Did you get,the drink from Seul yet ? What was your neighbour
doing ? -
I really like the looks of those. I've looked at them before but I remember them having short inseams which wouldn't work for me. I will have look into that again as Snowy's pair is inspiring.

Good quip Seul …..

Big, big love goes out to @Seul
