Still a bit high. I shipped a pair of boots to Europe for less than half that.

Just saw an instagram photo of a new berg and its Goodyear welted. Guess they're having to meet demand.

After 5 long months, I finally received my Viberg Hikers through 4 Horsemen. The make up is as follows:
Chocolate Bull Hide
2030 last
Unstructured toe box
Gun metal hardware
Vibram Sierra soleOut of the box, I couldn't be happier with these boots! This is my first custom Viberg (4th pair overall), and it was really something to open the box and see them made entirely to my specs.
I plan on using these as a serious hiking boot, and will be taking them up a local mountain for their first trek today.
Looking forward to seeing how they wear in! -
Wanting peoples thoughts on soles for a service boot. I am leaning towards a leather sole and Giles suggested a double leather. need to make my mind up to place my order.
Thanks -
I prefer the commando sole, myself. It gives good traction and still has a relatively sleek profile. If you do much walking on concrete or in wet conditions, (or even worse, a combination of the two) leather soles wear out more quickly. They also need more time to dry out if they do get wet.

Love my leather soles.
