Hi Tod thats a nice horse you have. Horween horsebutt needs a bit of time to break in and allow the shoe to mold to your feet. Wear as much as possible, heel slipeage should dissappear with time, you might work with an insole, good socks and lace em a bit tighter at the beginning. Have fun

What's size are you Tod? Hahaa! Hit me up if you want to flog em!! If they are my size that is.. I think I'm drooling over them…

Foxy,
Spotted in the background…a bottle of Dead Nuts by Chronic Cellars. Are you a fan of wines from Paso Robles, CA? The wife and I visit there all the time. We are wine club members of Chronic.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
Good eyes - yes, we are fans of CC and most of their wines.
Actually, nothing outrageous or terrible complex and sophisticated, but extremely drinkable and uncomplicated. Love their design! Got into them at a wine bar/wine tasting in Hong Kong…
We are members of their wine club, too. Unfortunately, we don't make it over to Paso Robles ever - would love to, but instead we have family in the US to ship it to and have them bring/ship stuff over.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

This is my first post on the board! I'm a huge Viberg fan and resident of Victoria, BC, so I'm right in the heart of Viberg country.
Today I received a pair of Viberg chukkas in aged bark that I got on Ebay for under $400. These are the chukkas that were originally sold at Tate & Yoko, and which now can be found at Barney's. I also have a pair of 4 Horsemen service boots and saddle oxfords, both of which are size 9. The chukkas are size 9.5, but I thought I'd take a chance on them. They definitely fit a bit roomier than the other two pair I have, but I suspect they'll work out fine. I actually find that my service boots get way too restrictive after a day of walking, as my foot swells.
Here are some pics of the new boots:
You may notice that the colour is a fair bit darker than depicted on the Tate & Yoko site. This is because the seller put two coats of Renovateur on them before selling. The colour with the conditioner is nice and rich, but I do look forward to them lightening with wear.
Here are all three of my current Vibergs:
Back at the beginning of December, 2012, I placed an order with 4 Horsemen for a Viberg hiker with custom modifications:
-Chocolate bullhide
-2030 last
-No Thinsulate liner
-Gunmetal hardware
-Vibram Sierra soleI expect that the hikers should be ready within the current month.
do you have any updated photos of the Chukka?

Cheers!

These are Viberg 10s. I normally wear a 10 in US sizing, and these feel like about a 10.5 to me…

I am not generally a fan of chukka style boots, but I think if you want a chukka this is a great boot for it!
Been wanting a Service Boots with aged bark leather to be my 1st Viberg while got some response from Morgan about sizing and price for an MTO this Chukka with the same aged bark leather at a discounted price looks attractive also, What you guys think?

Yeah, pretty sure a 9.5E is probably my Viberg size, but like you I like some extra toe room and I also need an arch-support insole, so 10 works better.
The lasts vary greatly in fit and feel, but Vibergs seem pretty consistently .5 larger than US in my experience…
Tod yeah correct, a uk9.5 or even a uk9 depending on the last would probably be your viberg size. But hei maybe it works out well while breaking them in. I wear uk8 viberg and wear us8 or 8.5 in my other boots and it works well because i like my boots comfortable for my toes

I would prob say I full size down from US sizing. From my experience having worn 2045, 110 and trying on 2030 last's.

We were shopping at Nordstrom's yesterday, and Lori was so disappointed in the quality of all the boots and shoes. Thinking about doing a custom build for her. Does anyone know what's the smallest size the 2030 last comes in? Thinking a double/triple stack heel, black oil tan engineer with brass hardware. Essentially the wild ones, but more feminine.

Badass. Thanks, G.
