Viberg

Those prices are ridiculous, I'm hoping that's not indiciative of future viberg. I'm only going to get my sizing on lock…
Yeah, it was one thing to charge that for shell boots – the fashion guys are used to paying that. But for any regular folks, it's getting out of hand for non-shell boots to be this expensive..

Hey @summ3rhays, here you go mate.
They are probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I love them and are happy with how they're coming along.
-
Sweet boots! I really like the two tone in blue & tan.

So I handled my first vibergs yesterday… they were really really nice, but I was kind of surprised about sizing. I'm a true 9.5, the 8's couldn't go on, and the 8.5's could go on with a lot of pressure and sore fingers, yet the top of my foot felt super tight against the boot, and my toes seemed really far down. Walking in them definitely didn't feel loose because they were so tight there... could be just a bad last or boot for me or something? Here's some pics!
-
It's probably the 2030 last. Some people like it and some people hate it. It's so stupid, the width and length were fine, but they bruised my toenails within a few hours. It's the worst last I've ever owned. You will need to cut off the top of your toes to wear them…
-
Yes sir, it actually was the 2030 last! That suede is so fucking nice though… I was really really impressed. I'd have have dubbed them if I bought them, but it's almost a shame.
Also, I had another boot that was on the 2040 last and I couldn't even get them on in an 8.5, but I truly don't think i'd be a 9. This was with super light short socks too. Do viberg lasts fit completely differently? As it stands, there's no way I could justify spending over half a g on something that fit like those. I was so relieved to get back into my converse.
-
Hmm, maybe.. they weren't out, but I felt bad for my girl since I had already dragged her to 3 other places for some clothing-related errands. Next time I'll def try on a 9. I was just surprised since I thought for sure the biggest size I'd be was 8.5, since it seems like one size down from brannock was the norm for viberg.
Also, I know that you shouldn't worry too much about wear your toe lies on the boot if it fits well otherwise but it just seemed so long that i shouldn't size up, but maybe I'm thinking too in terms of regular shoe sizing. Also, it seems like this last was designed to be relatively long, so maybe that contributed to it!

The 2030 last fits me perfectly. I had the top toe pressure issue with my 66 hikers. It was miserable. I had to take then to a cobbler to get stretched, they are on a 240 last. I know Max Power had the same issue.
-
It irritates me that they would make a last like that. Mine was bad on the left foot until I used a shoe tree on it. They need more vertical room in that thing.
-
Nice enjoy

the viberg sale is such bs. been waiting on the computer for a half an hour on their technical difficulties and the boots i wanted were already bought. bummer.
What were you looking to get? I snagged the black bullhide short shifts.
Yeah, those morons kinda fucked me too, I saw a great service boot but I can't be waiting around in the middle of a work day for them to unfuck their Web site.

That sucks, technical issues are the worst. It's one thing if someone beats you to the boots you want, but if it's a glitch that's another thing. I feel extremely lucky that I scored on the first sample sale last year. That was a clusterF as well, and you would think they would have learned from doing this a few times. It's a mad dash, but well worth the price if you can sneak in.

Yeh it was definitely a bit of a shambles. Some really nice shoes in there but. Would love for those brown horsehides to be a 9.5.
See what happens on the next round( fingers crossed)
