I like the leather sole on the boondocker
-
I used to feel the same way about the cord soles. I had only ever seen them on super cheap looking vintage boots in thift stores. But now that I have the Dr. Soles Raw Cord soles on my Scouts, I love them.

Corded soles are a nod to the original military issue boondockers I think. Points for authenticity at least.
-
Im just not a fan of leather soles really. I mean if i only wore them on carpet then sure they would b ok. But leather soles in the real world just seem like a step backwards.

I find leather to be kind of dangerously slippery. Thinking of adding a half sole to me Road Champs.

Do it! The leather sole helped them break in/loosen up, but soon as that was done, BAM, time to get that half sole. I can now strut around in my RC's instead of looking like I'm walking on an ice lake.

Perfect analogy Snowy. Usually no problem but on worn concrete holy crap its like ice skates!
-
I tend to walk crotch-forward. Why, you ask? So it gets there first! A deadly strut come winter though…
-
Super nice. Do you use trees in those boots? The toe appears not to have flattened much like other Vibergs with unstructured toes.
-
Great boots Aries!

Can't wait to see it.
