Personally, I like the 2030 last.

I love everything about those but the caps. I think a bit of structure helps the 2030 and 1035 a great deal, to my eye at least.
-
I feel like I can slog through anything in these. Which is one of my boot criteria. For that matter, one of my criteria for any expensive gear I buy is that I have to be able to beat it like it owes me money.

@mclaincausey:
These are really undestroyable aren't they?Enjoy ya addiction!
-
Yep they are @Jordan23 !
-
I think my dislike for the 2030 might also stem from the fact that they were murder on the tops of my feet…
If viberg made another boot like davitos I'd be damn tempted.

One detail of the SJs I may have never mentioned that I really love is that the nap is coarser on the heel counters (a very highly abraded area in a work boot) and lighter on the rest of the boot. It's that kind of attention to detail and practicality that I really appreciate.

Yes, this is a great detail. I have the same on my Boondockers (also in roughout of course) and the heel leather picks up more indigo off my denim that the rest of the boot which makes for pretty cool evo. And it has it's practical reasons too, as you pointed out.

Best boots I ever had. They took me through 2 weeks in Prague and 1 week in Budapest, with never less than 15 km of walking per day.
I think they will easily outlive me.

Love em–wearing mine again today!
