Viberg

Got my boots today! Went with a 10.5, these are a great fit - about the same size as my Flat Head and Lofgren boots.
Really blown away by these boots - the quality is incredibly, no flaws in sight. I love the color (#8 Chromexcel), the Dainite sole, the waxed black laces - these are such a nice balance between classy and badass. And, although this seems to be an unpopular opinion, I love the Goodyear welt construction and the natural welt's contrast with the upper. Gives them a bit of a classier look compared to the workboot aesthetic of stitchdown - just what I was going for. It'll probably be a while before I buy more boots, but these probably won't be my last pair of Vibergs!

Splendid mate . Vibergs are an addiction , I own three pairs .
Enjoy . -
^ This this this @jock1624 ! Build quality and perfect fit for me started a crazy addiction. Loving the Colour 8 @Cold Summer

@Cold Summer what denim are you wearing? Glad the boots worked out.
Always good stuff from @Jordan23

They're 3Sixteen ST-120x with 5+ months of wear and one wash! Great jeans.

This thread has been delivering the goods again as of late! Cold Summer, I totally love your new boots. I have the stitchdown version and either way the leather is just the greatest thing. Sometimes the 2030 last feels a shade tight on my right foot but I can't bear to part with such nice boots.
I'm currently considering copping a third pair of Vibergs. Everytime I think I've got out…

great pair @Cold Summer

Thanks guys!
However, after wearing these for three days, I realized that they're a half size too big… so I'm getting the exact same boots in a size 10 instead.
Obviously I need to sell these ones now, so please contact me if you're interested in an almost-new pair in 10.5!

^ man that stings.
good luck on the sale

I've got a kinda weird "problem" with my Vibergs. The leather laces on my left boot still aren't completely broken in haha (3 years+). They're not even close to being as soft as the ones on the right boot. Never changed them and naturally I always wear both of them.. Not really an issue though, just a little strange. Love my boots!

My guess is that the laces were cut from different sections of the hide, or possibly even different hides. Getting consistency is such a pain with leather.
That kind of thing bugs me with laces, which is why I always switch out leather ones and use something else.

After playing with my boots a bit more, I think I have the right size after all - I was worried because of how much room I have in the toe, but the boots don't slide around on my foot, the heel fits right, and the widest part of my foot pretty much lines up with the widest part of the shoe.
It's weird to think that I've been into denim and stuff, and have owned a few pairs of boots over the years, but never really knew how to look for whether or not my boots fit well. Oh well, everything's a learning experience - and I'm glad I don't have to sell these (beautiful) boots.
Those look awesome Bluegrass! I'd be really tempted to get my service boots in Brown or Natural Chromexcel. I know a lot of people dislike Chromexcel, but I think it suits this style of boot perfectly and I'm very happy with how mine looks. I've noticed that older, stitchdown versions of the CXL #8 boots have a much brighter, reddish hue, but I prefer the purplish brown of the leather used on my boots.

My Hopper engineer boots are in the post.
@BrownIcon is entirely to blame for me ordering these.
