@ghettomedic I size down .5 from Wesco to Viberg (from 12.5 to 12) but you may get varying opinions…

@EJS:
Nicest boots I've owned, seriously considering some Wesco FPs though which sound much more comfortable. I guess these fit but think the 2030 last isn't ideal for me…
@EJS I've owned two pairs of 2030 boots, and the Foot Patrols are much more comfortable. Granted, everyone's feet are different, so this is just my observation. The 2030 is fairly flat and tight across the top of the foot, whereas the FP has a little more room. Also, I think the FPs are (marginally) better made.

^ Glad to see you taking the plunge!

I'm always happy to be an enabler. You'll love the boots when they arrive. Did you buy from Viberg.com?

Mine came with leather laces, though I've always used the waxed cotton ones as it seemed more appropriate for a military boot. I think the leather laces got used when I tried to smarten up my old Red Wing oxfords.

Got a tracking number, now I'm just (im)patiently waiting on their arrival.
Should be sometime next week, maybe a little delay with the holiday.This is what you get to look forward to. Mine are goodyear welted though.

I think that a lot of the stitchdown vs Goodyear argument is down to Styleforum disappearing up their own posteriors. There are arguments that the former is more durable than the latter, but I've never had a welt fail on any of my footwear, and it's probably not a problem for someone with thirty pairs of boots in rotation.
A Goodyear welt changes the look of the boot a bit, which might be an issue for some people. It also affords some benefits to Viberg, in particular it makes it easier to work with certain leathers.
