I've got some 2045 commando boots on the way from Division Road. They advised I size down from a 10.5 sneaker size to a size 9. I hope this is right. Jason seemed convinced that a 9.5 or a 10 would be too big.
Either way I am very excited. I hope they are wide enough. But he said the last is like a 4E wide in the fore foot.
-
I keep looking at these. I am so stoked.
-
I wear a 10.5 in sneakers, though I'm an ordinary D width. Years ago, I bought a size 9 in the 2035 last. They were snug at first, but they broke in beautifully. That's the pair of green service boots I wear all the time. Since the 2045 is wider, I think these will work out for you. Those are certainly damn nice looking boots.

Thanks Chris! The other thing I am wondering is if the wax will transfer to my jeans much?
Although I think it could be worth it because these look crazy awesome with a patina.
-
I don't have any personal experience with waxed rough out boots, but I'd guess it wouldn't transfer enough to notice. That's only a guess, though.

As a public service announcement, Cultizm are having an Easter sale with most things - including Viberg Service Boots in a few different colorways - at 20% off, with free international shipping. That seems to make them a bit of a deal, right? This particular boot is built on their 2030 last; no idea how is the fit & sizing of that one but some you are no doubt familiar with it.
-
I think 2030 is one size down from your sneaker size.
Unrelated, I still haven't received my boots from Division Road. UPS ground carbon neutral is probably the slowest shipping service I have ever seen! I hope they fit because by the time I receive them it will he beyond the 14 day window I would be able to return them.

I had the same experience, a few months back, when I ordered my crust horsehide engineers from them. I wouldn't worry, though. If memory serves, you get 14 days from the date of delivery, not purchase.

Thanks a lot!
-
Great to hear! Thanks @Engineer also AMAZING boots there.
-
@Chris the boots fit great and the are mind-blowing! I am almost speechless. Holy smokes.
-
I really enjoyed the presentation of the boots and how they were packaged a lot! One of the most positive customer service experiences I have ever had. Everything from the phone calls about sizing, emails and follow up was impeccably handled. Division Road is awesome.

Glad they fit and that you're happy with them. I said it before, but it beats repeating- they are really good looking boots.

I am really digging the orthotic support in these. Also the roomy round toe is great. I am not keen on boots with poiny toes.

Thanks a lot!

They look boss. How's the orthotic support built in these, is it like the arch is heavily curved, White's style? You are normally more of a flat last guy, isn't that right? I seem to remember a DIY-project of yours, flattening a pair of Romeos?
-
@Crit_Obs yeah flattened those out good. There's a definitely a pronounced arch in these. But it is rather comfy out of the box. I mean, they are VERY heavy and stiff and my feet feel tired from wearing them today. But…
The Wesco Romeos have a leather half slip (and were rather agonizing to wear) out of the box. It took me over a year to break them in to get them sort of comfortable (even close to as comfortable as the Viberg is out of the box).
The Romeos are like having your foot on a 90 angle shelf. The Viberg has more of an ergonomic construction in my opinion. I have very wide and flat fallen arches. But they don't make my feet hurt so far.
Edit: I should add that the Wescos were a deal off the shelf and you can get the soles without a half slip and get them flat if you get them custom made.
