Too much. Looks like you could take 2-3" off and still have stacks.
Edit: they don't look as excessive in the fit pic. I'd still hem them though.

Looks like I will have to get these hemmed to a 33".
Thanks brother.

I see she is following suit w/ the Chuck Taylor's. I guess emulating @madamebuttonfly isn't such a bad thing, after all she is a stylish fiend.

Btw that is a very flattering fit!

Serious question here.
Why wouldn't these just be tagged to go along with the actual waist size instead of being 2 inches off(potentially 3in after wear)? I could see being 1in under tag size as to go along with eventual stretching to tag size or if they were unsanforized, seems like an easy fix though. Or is this the way Haraki intends for them to be worn?I'm sure you guys still get confused customers because of this. I know this isn't the first run of jeans to have the sizing off from the tag size.

Tom does her best to work out what the actual to tag will be. She fucks up occasionally. We live with what we end up with. We publish the actuals. If an averagely intelligent human being can't read the sizing chart, then yes we may confuse/lose them. But, if they do email us or place an order we will enter into a discussion with them to make sure they end up with a size that fits them.
What continues to amaze me is that all jeans manufacturers have this deviation in sizing ( I had a pair of Diesel tagged 32 sent into me for hemming recently, they measured 36), we are anal about publishing actuals (and do so with every new run of a jean) and we get shit for doing so, because we tell the truth and don't dissemble…....
Would Haraki, Tom and I like every cut/fabric/production run to come out perfectly similar? Fuck yes, it would save us all a load of grief. But guess what, if it was that easy, we would, I promise you we would.....

Ok. I thought the tags were put on last or at least the tags were labelled last. That's why this seems like an easy fix.

We do not deliberately make shit harder than it already is….
Never said that… It was just a curious question.
