Love these things. -
Clint, those look beyond perfect

I agree, Anesthetist. They are really nice, and I'm happy I took the leap. They are so nice, in fact, that I'm considering a RS-04 as my summer pair. Can anyone give long-term impressions of the 14.5oz. Cone Mills denim, and how it compares to the IH 21oz.? I am amazed at how cool the 21oz still runs, despite its weight. I could probably still wear the 21oz. comfortably throughout the summer, if I wanted. Still, I'm curious about the Roy's. I've held the RS-04, and the denim is definitely lighter, and thinner, but I've read that it has a really tight weave. Basically, I'm wondering how it breathes, how it breaks in, fades, etc.. Thanks, in advance.

Clint, It took 3 hot soaks to get all the shrink out of my RS04's, so the SF-01 will most likely react that same.

I got a pair of the SF01 ones last week but I haven't soaked them yet. Did they loose that grey tint when you soaked them? Did the length actually shrink 3 inches?
-
Im lookin at some sfo1's myself and am curious as to how breathable his 14.5oz is. Could they be a decent warm weather jean?
-
Hottest pair of jeans I've owned was a pair made from 13 oz Cone denim. Not breathable in the least; felt like wearing pants made out of a shower curtain.
If these are heavier and the tightest weave Cone could make, they are gonna be unpleasant to wear in warm weather. Might be a sleeper hit for winter…

Thanks for the heads up Mike and Chris. U guys def changed my mind aswell. I was considering the 666L Mike, jus really wanted to check out some of Roys work. I def dont need another warm pair tho. The BBxRAW and XHS are good enough lol

21 oz IH denim is definitely doable in the summer. I don't hesitate to wear mine, even on the hottest days.

Thanks, Chris. Yeah, we've had a couple warm, ~ 80*, days here in the past month, or two, and the 21oz. felt fine. It doesn't really get much hotter than that, where I live, so I should probably be good.
To stay relatively on topic, the details on the SF01 & RS04 are top notch, but if they don't breath well, then they are an easy pass, for me.

Agreed- Roy's work is top notch, and the attention to detail is amazing. I'll probably never own a pair, since he likes to make them far too skinny for my build, but they are beautifully done.
