Pre-soak?
I read that these will be very large. You wear an XL from many other brands right? -
Thanks everybody!
@ShootThePier:Pre-soak?
I read that these will be very large. You wear an XL from many other brands right? This was pre-soak, the denim shrank down quite a lot. I'm usually a XXL in most IH shirts (western and work).

Sorry for the lack of an update, had some family in town so I've been away from the forums.
Also haven't taken updated photos because I haven't taken the shirt off! Been wearing it for the last couple days.
Come Friday or so I'll take some updated pictures. It's a really great shirt. -
I second @Broark, this is an absolutely beautiful shirt.
I know the IH motto is Over-engineering, which is exactly what Roy does for each of his garments. Most of my recent clothing purchases have been IH, but I couldn't pass this one up.
Cone Mills did a great job on the weave, their signature super clean loomstate 2x1. The hem stitched button placket is out of this world and has a reinforced selvedge detail. I haven't seen hem stitching done before other than on my Grandmas old doiley's. It looks great on denim, curious to see how if affects durability though. Double sewn button holes and buttons.
Reinforcing and little details everywhere, this is a statement of love. I wonder how long it took Roy to do each shirt. I had heard that on a previous shirt he was at 1.5 shirts per day production…with all the detailing this must have been less.
It's an oversized old school workshirt that I will enjoy beating the crap out of for years to come.
Sizing:
I typically wear a L in IH shirts, Roy's patterning was different, and the main difference for me was chest was larger and shoulder was smaller...also the sleeves are shorter and not patterned for riding like IH, which best suits my gorilla arms, but that's my own issue. In the end a L still made the most sense for me and this shrunk like crazy after the recommended soak, dry and ironing routine Roy used for the measurements. I only soaked once though...he hot soaked twice.
I have pretty much hated Oakland my whole life (being a Denver Bronco fan...Raiders are longtime rivals) but this guy Roy is making Oakland look damn good.
I'll throw some fit pics in when I get the chance.

Took some photos of my Roy jeans I've been wearing for maybe 4 months, 5 or 6 washed.
iPhone camera so the lighting is a little inconsistent.
The Black Seed denim is nice IMO, stubborn but it has some nice streakiness to the indigo dye.
No photos of the back, but here's what I have right now.

Shirts and jeans look great gents, now more fit flicks of that shirt please! [emoji1]

Nice @Anesthetist ! You'll love the shirt.
Sorry I haven't gotten more photos, I've honestly been wearing the shirt so much that I haven't taken pictures.
I plan on washing it again in the next day or two, then I'll get some more photos up. It's already starting to fade nicely. -

I was a little in between sizes in that I liked the medium's p2p but needed the large's shoulder measurements. I am usually a large medium or smallish large in IH for ref. I'll post pics when I get it. I cant wait!

@Broark how much shrinkage would you say you got in the chest? I'm contemplating this shirt but I am wondering if I could get enough shrink in the chest to justify it. I would definitely need a small and would need to get a minimum 0.75" shrink in the chest to make it work.
-
@BloodnThunder I'll get you some post wash measurements when I get home later, I think you might be able to achieve that much shrinkage. I've soaked/washed the shirt twice and I think all the shrinkage is accounted for.

Sounds good. Thanks! The shirt is a beauty.
