Giles's Yamaha SR500 Build…
-
has to have a iron heart denim seat
-
ooh i like that seat very much
-
Looks very cool, I like their work a lot.
As an added bonus, you're doing the world a favour by getting your donor bike off the street in the condition it was in. Only my opinion of course, but just because you have blue paint left in the can, it doesn't mean you need to keep finding shit to paint.

Awesome G. Liking the green tank.
-
im liking it a lot are you going to run a drum brake at the front ?
-
hey there @Giles are you able to share the costs of the customizing as well?
just asking cuz i'm really interested in to do the same one day…buying a not so cool bike during the winter months and customize it to something sweet for summer.just so i can see if and how much i have to save up for a project like this.
-
Rafa, I have no idea. I do not have the time, tools, space or inclination to do it myself. Some will think of that as cheating so be it.
The base bike cost me £1,650. I perhaps could have got one for less if I was prepared to wait for ages looking for one. But I did not want to wait so I grabbed the first half decent one I found.

the costs of the bike sounds more than reasonable to me. so that's a good point/info i can work with, thanks!
about the other work…i do have a lot of friends that ride bikes (most of'em the HD Sportster 48) and some of'em do have their own garage, so i don't really have to care about space, tools and maybe even knowledge (i'm more the guy that goes by "learning by doing")...so yeah. if i'm gonna do it, i'll def. share it with you guys.
for now, i'm really looking forward to see the final product of yours
