Can we fix it,,,yes we fekkin can,,,its defibrilator time
-
I've been a member here for 4 years I think - albeit a relatively quiet member, but a forum will always go through cycles. Like Ruben/spitfire, home turf is fuk - that places changes every flipping few weeks - sometimes for good, sometimes for bad. The one thing I will repeat is that criticism is good - good for peoples' personal style.

Mojo back,,,worth a shot, how about having a sort of Skype type night,,one night where we all hook up online and chat /gossip/bitch//etc…......
-
The most important thing is talking,,use yer inbox to its fullest,,saying hello can often work wonders,,,then again so can sunshine,,a full tank of juice and open roads,,
-
This place needs some kinda realtime chat-room,,bandwidth hungry but just a random thought
-
I much agree with Nem, and actually did just what he suggested and gave him an occasion to check his inbox. Was very glad to hear from you after some time, Nem!
My five pennies on this: I also see a degree of superficiality, or elitism as Nem might put it. But I see great substance, great quality here, and for once I don't refer to the denim, but the people. Being aware of wrong tendencies, discussing them openly and of course not deleting a post like D666's is the first right step.
This forum does mean something to me, and I'm determined to make my small contribution to keep it not merely alive, but also keep up its standard. I have just, as of yesterday, made a fresh contact here over a trade that tastes of fast friendship, and that's a beautiful thing.
So let's not see doom and gloom, but do acknowledge where there is a false direction, and fekking (yes, Nem) do something about it. -
It just needs to feel free.
People need to feel free to say what they like. I don't mean cunting people off for the sake of it. But say what you like and have a laugh with it.

Cheers 501,,we need people to throw away all their preconceived thoughts and viewpoints,,start afresh. The world is a shitty place for a lot of folks,,build on the strong roots we got,,its never really gone away,,,its just hiding
-
Banter,,making smiles,,cheering people up,,say what you see,,,
Ask yourself what is the most important thing ,,friendship,,simple as that,,talk till you cant type anymore.Only on this planet for a short while,,,so make it count and make it work

I'm not sure wether I fully get the points that have been adressed…It's my fourth year in this forum and I feel that it's still an awesome place to be. In fact, over the last months / years I've met great people due to it and even developped one or two friendships that deserve that name.
I kinda miss some of the old folks round here, but after all every active member can create this place. I try for instance to post as much pictures as I can and enjoy everybody that takes the same time to do so. And sometimes I feel like the dudes that to such don't get the full appreciation (like taa - that guy spends an awful lot of dedication and sometimes there's no reaction). I do not exclude myself from this.
Maybe the smartphone mentality changed a few things for the worse, but besides that, I feel like it's still the place where I know most about the regular members and my trust in them (for example in buying/selling transactions) got rewarded every time. There could be more critizism, but then tastes are so different, that I rarely feel like I need to voice my opinion about a in my eyes bad fit or product.
So, maybe I'm ignorant to things that are obvious to you, but I still feel like this is an awesome place - and I hope to meet as much of you in the future, I've never been disappointed.
Cheers.

If there are cultural problems with the forum, I don't see what you could really do about it. You can't change a person, much less a big group of people.
-
See ,,open discussion,,all helps. Some people feel intimidated,,shy,,scared even of voicing or expressing an opinion,,we all need to make sure that there are no boundaries,,cultural or otherwise
-
The points raised about personal critique and a sometime "hive mentality" are valid. I've tried to agitate this artificially in the past through things like the Unpopular Opinions thread, I know that met with mixed response and caused a few spats but in a way that is what it was meant to do for those who needed it as an outlet (I know I did/ do).
I too miss the old days, and some of the old members, but past is past and I've learned over recent months that you can't change that. If anything I would say that the dynamic is much different these days to 2 or 3 years ago, it's a much more polite place to be and that has certainly come at the cost of some of the fun element, I talk to many members here via PM and other means and I know that some are struggling to connect with the forum these days, as Max said reaction is king and if people take an ambivalent attitude then that is what pervades through the forum.
Speaking personally, I like people who speak plainly, say it as you see it (which is exactly what Jeff has done here). I struggle with snide digs, double meanings and passive aggression (I'm not entirely sure I actually know what that is), keep it friendly but keep it honest. If someone is being a dick or looks like crap then do tell them…..nicely if possible. I know how good I am at making £2000 worth of clothing look like shit so it won't come as a surprise if someone tells me that.
I've made some good friends here, some of the friendships I haven't worked hard enough to maintain but that is me in real life too, I'm a lazy fucker, but this is not beyond repair here....we all just need to give it a little more attention.

I will fly the flag for D666,,something was wrong with what he was seeing/experiencing with the forum,,he stood up,,glad he did,,kinda fired up the synapses a little.Change will always happen its inevitable,,we can control only so much ,,the rest is up to ,,well,,, add your own reason.Use it or lose it,,
-
Maybe there are some similar tastes on here… We all love a nice Japanese motorcycle clothing brand, so it's not a huge surprise if there is some "groupthink."
-
The entire planet is getting too pc, but that's probably another discussion…

Yup,,,,,,fekkin treehuggers
