The Strike Gold

Yeah, they don't really make a higher rise slim-ish jean.
The 1105 and 2105 isn't exactly low rise, it's just not as high as most other Japanese jeans. For some reason the rise on the 2xxx series denim feels higher, at least on my pairs. -
Never really liked the Strike Gold arcs. My personal favorites are the stripes on the Momotaro GTB series.
Let's see, right off the top of my head- Oni is ok, not great; SdA looks like it was done by a six year old; Samurai is ok, though clearly pushing the limit on how close to Levis they can get without getting sued again; Evisu is good; Imperial is a tad excessive, but not bad; Triple Works is pretty good; and of course, Iron Heart is excellent.
The Momotaro GTB stripes look good, but they don't suit me. I prefer the understated look of no pocket arcs (less is more!), but of the brands that have them my favourites is Iron Heart - strong and masculine without being over-the-top.
Of course Levi's is an undeniable classic, and I'm warming to the Strike Gold design (perhaps swayed by the awesome quality of the jeans?). RJB is ok too.
Agree with your comments about SdA (ha ha!), Samurai and Imperial. The Flat Head half-arcs look good but unfortunately they don't use them on many models. The full FH design is a bit much for me, as it the boldness of Evisu.

18 Months of Wear, 8 Washes.

those are nice kiya
like how those SG arcs are just obliterated and you got the ghost arc from your walletSamuel (Cotton Duck) & I designed that wallet to leave a Levi's-like arcuate in your back pocket after some wear.

good eye on the wild child wallet
Well Kiya did state that he and Cotton Duck made it so that was a safe assumption.
