mclain, how much did you lose on the inseam of your 3105s after the hot soak? I gather these don't shrink much after a soak - did they feel much different around the waist? thanks
-
These really don't shrink excessively. I may have lost 3/4" from the waist on a hot soak for a half hour. I am guessing maybe 1-1.5" on the inseam but less sure of that; I hemmed them so I wasn't paying much attention. I have a 30" inseam and they start at 37" so you may get some idea by looking at the cuff on my post soak fit pic on this thread. Hope that helps. I love the jeans. Love the cut, love the denim, and its potential is just starting to show.
-
Thanks mclain, yes that is helpful. I bought a pair a few days ago but haven't been in a position to do the soak and start wearing them yet. I had the 1105s as my first raw denim a couple of years ago.

Nice man. The 05 cut is my favorite cut I've tried. 3105 was my first loomstate jean, bought in July. The denim is just starting to show its fading potential. I'm seeing streakiness and some electric blues, no washes, two hot soaks. Indigo's a bit more stubborn than I expected but the contrast is going to be outstanding and I do like that it doesn't crock all over my furniture.

Dat mud dyed weft…. those have been on my radar for a while...

Had to disrobe at the doctor and was struck by how these 3105s are evolving:
-
Thanks man. I think it's food poisoning. About a week of abdominal pain and an unmentionable symptom.
I wish I could convey photographically how these look. There's some nice contrast and texture emerging. They're going to be ridiculous very soon

The jeans are indeed looking damn nice. I've nearly bought a pair on several occasions. If SG made a cut that was halfway between their straight and skinny cuts, I'd be there in a flash.
Keep us updated on their progress mate!

I was feckin around and finally got a shot that does the current state of fade of these 3105s justice. They're just getting started and are slower than I expected; promising evo though IMO.
-
New sweat. It's supposed to shrink a bit. The XL fits well now, but a little shrinkage and it will be perfection IMHO.
-
Perfect. I didn't realize they made XL I think that's new.
-
I think that looks great on you… don't think you even need to shrink it
-
I just picked up a pair of the SG1109 jeans at SE…. I warm/hot soaked already and I got no shrinkage in the waste and I got the shrinkage you'd expect in length.... I sort of worried.... I'm soaking just the waist again, now and turning up the heat....fingers crossed.... anyone else have this problem?

Thanks Davito and Greenie!
MCC, thank god they make XL. It's always the shoulder measurement that gets me with the Japanese brands.
