Also the fact that there's been no real washes…

Hi all, I'm new to the forum and new to Iron Heart. Just took a flyer on a pair of Beatle Busters from Self Edge. I measured my current jeans obsessively and then compared them to the measurement charts. I'm an older guy with a big, athletic build. Concluded that my current jeans all measured in the 40-41" waist range. The size 40 IHXB01's on the charts were 39" but all other measurements looked just fine, maybe even a touch big.
Got them in the mail today and tried them on. It was a bit tough closing the upper button but otherwise the jeans were just about right. After an hour or two, they have begun to stretch. I hope they'll give a bit more cuz they're already hemmed and I can't return them.
Otherwise I love the denim, thick but soft to the touch. I think the Iron Heart could be my new favorite brand. Tempted to try the 634S for a bit looser fit when my wallet recovers.

Thanks all, I'm now into day 2 and can see that these will definitely work out well. I must say that the denim is amazing. I can't believe that something so heavy can be comfy already. It also seems to breathe so well, even in somewhat warm conditions. I can only imagine how awesome these will get over time.

Imagine, you cannot. Learn, you will.

They're currently in the wash right now, will post, post-wash pics afterwards. I'm really liking this denim, I want to get the 634s now too!

Need some advice as I am looking to purchase a new pair and don't really have a pair to measure that fits. I am coming from a size 34 666s that were fine in the waist but tight in the hips/thighs etc. I also have a 634s-raw size 33 that is fine in the thighs and while I can button them up, the top block is uncomfortably tight and like the 666 results in a plumber situation if I have to sit or bend over. I was thinking a 36 bb, which appears to be safe on paper via the IH measurements however self edge says otherwise - looks like it might be similar or even smaller than the 666s from their measurements. How fitted is the top block/thigh/waist in the bb compared to 666 in the same size? My other option was the currently OOS 634s size 35. I like the higher rise and slimmer lower leg of the bb so was hoping to go in that direction. Bottom like is I don't want to end up with another beautiful pair that I can't sit down. Bike, or walk up two steps at once in.
