You are wearing cotton. Cotton absorbs moisture. Moisture and abrasion cause fading. Make sense?

I mean, the denim bleeds a lot more when it is damp.  And, I am sure it generally gets damp the whole way through.

Unfortunately, they will start to stink a lot quicker when you do this!

^^^ I also experienced faster fadings on damp raw denim stuff from sweating
