The Evolution of Iron Heart

21 vs 22oz fantastic denim
-
-
21ib closing in on 100 wears, and 142, closing in on 2. Lol
-
Threw on the ol 18oz cuz I missed em.
I think I might need these in an 888 when they’re back -
Another comparison: 18oz vintage with lots of wear, and the 142 with very not much
-
@WhiskeySandwich great comparisons i really dig that you’re doing this! Thanks
-
@Heavy_blue they just happen to be hanging next to each other and catch my eye lol. Figured I could show the differences in different lights. Each fabric is so unique. Some might think “jeans is jeans” but if you compare them they’re so different. Glad you dig!

The lighting, btw, is just normal house lighting, no natural light here, and no effects or flash on the photo. I think Iphone does weird things even in regular camera mode.
Another note about the shot of the back pockets. The 18oz is a 777, and the 14oz is a 888, they're both hanging from the beltloops at the same height. Notice how much lower the back pockets are on the 777 on the right. Add that the the fact that the 888 has about 2" more rise. Aside from the necessary added thigh room, this contributes to my reasons for favoring the 888. -
@WhiskeySandwich interesting observation.
Are the lower pockets considered a feature of the the 777 @Alex ? Or is it just variation between production runs?

Washed both the OD Lefty and 633s yesterday, love the way the texture slowly creeps through on these fabrics.
Jacket roughly 1 year of sporadic wear, jeans 6 weeks of daily wear.
Slept in these while the dried last night, a little mad... and perhaps something Filthy or @Oaktavia would approve of... but really happen with how it's made the creases settle in again

@T4920 very cool brother! Off-topic.. is that the flat head tee?

Some beautiful fades from my 21oz 634s
