Norman Porter

Norman Porter is a brand that was started by 3 friends, I believe named after one or two guys grandfathers name combined, none the less a great name. They are also located in Philadelphia, which is only 2 hours away from me. I sadly didn't have time to pick up my duck pants when they were done, so I had them shipped.

They offer two different fits, NP01 and NP02. The NP01 is more of a slim taper(perfect for me!) and a the NP02 is more of a straight cut. When my eyes fell upon the tan duck, I had to have it, but sadly saw it was offered in NP02 cut. I e-mailed them and they replied they could do a NP01 no problem, ordered and now I have been rocking them all weekend and love them.
They say it is 100% American cotton(I didn't ask which mill) and 12 oz. They feel great in this heat we are having, good breathability and look great as well. The weave isn't too tight nor loose, falls in between in my eyes and short experience.
The rivets are hammered by hand(another beautiful touch) and their is an N stitch in the right leg and P stitched in the left leg where the stitching disapears(sorry I don't know what that part is called).
I made the stitching stand out a little more so you can see the N and P on the legs, almost no one will see that, but still love it.
Herringbone is the pocketbags, and a beautiful choice IMO on this color.
I love the fit, finish, details, where it is made and everything really. They seemed to be great with customer serveice, at least with me via e-mail.
I would highly recommend checking out the brand, they don't offer TONS of stuff, but they do offer some beautiful items.

The norman porters are still awesome. Evo will take some time with these ducks(as they should). They seem to be pretty durable, but breath nicely in this humidity/warmth. The duck is a little lighter than the 17oz offered by IH. I do notice a looser weave, but IH has a softer feel to it. Loving my Norman Porters

Looks good, Jordonf9!
I've been thinking about getting a pair myself later in the summer. Denim or duck NP02 - can't decide. All of their stuff is really well made! I'm a big fan of their pocketbags.
I live in Philly and visited their shop a few years ago. Great dudes - friendly and open - take a lot of pride in their work. Showed me an awesome waxed cotton vest they'd just put together for squirrel hunting. I mentioned my wife made rag rugs out of old denim and they hooked me up with a bag full of scraps. Can't say enough good things! -
One day I will make a trip and see their shop. I am about 2 hours at most up North from their shop.
Detail/finishing is excellent on their products. So far a great duck for warm weather.

Thanks @Finkster I would HIGHLY recommend these. Texture is very different from IH duck…but still beautiful in its own right.
Personal thing, but the NP01 cut is PERFECT for me.
