IHJ-35-BLK - Japanese Horsehide Rider’s Jacket - Black (Tea-Core Dyed)

sleeves could be 0.5-1 inch shorter.
Will once you have worn it for a week or 2
The flannel lining is the perfect weight - hope to see the same in the brown version also.
Won't happen. I'm afraid H and I prefer a twill lining in this type of jacket
@Manticore:Perhaps I missed it but I never read what the leather thickness is on these jackets - can someone confirm? It feels comparable to approximately 2.5-3oz.
You did not miss it because we have never said what it is because we don't know…..What I do know is that H selected it to do a job (he would have selected by feel not a spec sheet) and do it well, that's good enough for me....
Copy that Giles, thank you for the responses. I must say I really appreciate your level of engagement on the forum!
I also wish I had found IH sooner. My wallet may not agree. Perhaps I should get a new oxblood cordovan wallet to put the current one in its place…

Only way to teach that wallet who's boss is to let it know it can be replaced.

This thread needs more pics so I can live vicariously through you guys. I'm hoping there is still a XXL this summer when I can afford one.

Glad I was able to grab one of these. The horsehide is impeccable. So thick, so heavy, a bit stiff at first like all thick leather but it softens up nicely after wear.
