What's your favorite Beer?

The Great Northern Barleywine Weekend ended yesterday with this pair of Norwegians.
This is from an odd brewery that I’ve actually visited. They deliberately target the supermarket/hotel/tourist market with well made but terminally boring lighter beers. A 9.5% BW is an unusual offering from them. It was predictably polished, but uninteresting.
Happily, this was the tits… boozy, sweet, vinous and full bodied.

@neph93 Wow, that looks muddy. Hop burn galore, I assume?
I'm having a few locals from the island. They have a fifth brewery now, this one being only slightly above home brewing level with 200L. This one is interesting, using local sea buckthorn for a fruited Farmhouse Ale.

I’ve had a sea buckthorn saison before. Looked not unlike that bottle but this was three or four years ago. Tawny Porter sounds and looks delicious.
Porter here too. They nailed this one… very well balanced with the sweetness at the front, and then the booze, followed by the coffee and the lactose right at the end. I’m impressed.

@scooter my favorite BA stout. Haven’t tried this years, but that will change soon. I prefer the base over all the adjunct versions.
