I was watching Gomorrah on the trip over last night. There was a comment that hit home to me about the wanton destruction of our planet. It was in relation to farmers taking bribes to bury hazardous waste on their land.
“They don’t care if the tap water is poisoned as long as they have enough money to buy mineral water”

I love when UPS bullshits their delivery especially when ppl are home, door wide open with everyone able to look past the screen door, and claim they can’t deliver bc no one was home.

@RoxRocks86 I didn’t think it could be physically possible, but I think we must have the same UPS driver. Happens to me all the time, and the best excuse for a missed delivery was the driver couldn’t find my physical address even though they deliver here every couple of weeks for various items.
It happened to me again today where they claimed to attempt delivery…I work from home, office is on the driveway side of the house, and I have a camera setup for the driveway…

Same here - it looks like the UPS drivers go through the same training worldwide!
Certainly wouldn’t be surprised if that were the case!
Ended up redirecting my package to the nearest UPS store where i live. It contained the IH 20th anni denim and lighter. Apparently the driver marked my package unnamed even though it was on the shipping label and marked it undeliverable ::) good thing the UPS store workers in my area see me enough to know my last name and gave me the run down of what happened.

Can't see whatever I'm trying to look directly at for an hour or two... having to rely on peripheral vision while working at my computer is a PITA. Then I'll have a banging migraine later...
It's like this, in case you've never had one. If I look at the old man's right eye then the visual disturbance maps almost perfectly onto the image. It's a massive blind spot which looks all glitchy and weird as your brain tries to predict the missing information and fill in the blank:

UPS suck. Last time I dealt with them was my Simmons Bilt jacket, I think. The guy knocked on my door while I was coming home from walking the dog. I was about 20m away and started shouting "I'm here, one sec" but within a breath of trying my door he just got back in his van and drove off. Even if I'd been in I'd have missed him, but there's no way he didn't hear me shouting.

Our local DHL drivers are a couple of stars. But they are also two cheeky ginger nuts who everybody knows. If they fucked about they’d hear about it pretty quick.
I think there is a culture that goes with the job of taking the easy road and being lazy with deliveries. Not everyone has it, but it is widespread amongst all the delivery companies.
Edit: I’ll add that in Norway at least, being a professional vehicle operator of any kind is very, very badly paid.

Same here… our UPS guy is a crabby Ghanaian... but we tip him alomst everytime. If he has to deliver something to the office and there is none he takes a detour and brings it to our home...

Our old DHL driver was great! I had his personal phone number and he would text me to see if I was home pre:delivery and if I wasn’t he would ask if he could leave it at the door. I routinely slipped him a six pack of beer for his help.
Sadly he changed routes and the new guy’s a twat…
