Skiing in ohio, not anything worth it. We go to Colorado my friend, a lot! Crested butte to be exact, gnarliest mountain in Colorado
You should make your way over to Silverton. It's a 7-8 hour drive (depending on weather) for me as I'm in Boulder, but well worth the effort and unlike any other resort in the state let alone the US.

1: goddamn I'm an idiot. Take a few weeks off training and now two days after a session that would barely have made me sweat I feel like an army of angry dwarves assaulted my legs with ball peen hammers.
2: As mentioned elsewhere, I traded an opportunity to see the Cult for the first time since the mid nineties for a one hour meeting in Dallas this morning. It was the right move but a painful one. Now I'm at a fucking Starbucks killing time until I can grab some BBQ before I return home. Their iced coffee is shit.
3: I'm at this corporate shithole cafe because I tried to go to a Seattle's Best which turned out to be a drive through. And I threw out the coffee from there. Awful. This Starbucks is worse but I need caffeine so desperately at this point that I am choking it down. I am not a terribly picky coffee drinker either; it's like beer, I know and appreciate a good one, but I'll drink a High Life too. This is more like a Keystone.
4: I think Siri has become self-aware and, like all machine intelligences, is unspeakably evil. She has tried to kill me twice this trip and tried to take me on a toll road when the interstate was faster.

Fekkin Siri, she's an evil bitch, that one!

Silverton is unreal. I would actually say that's the best ski town in Colorado but its not for the faint at heart. It's a different beast than any other mountain on Colorado.
I'm a well seasoned snowboarder my friend, I've been around. I like the butte Better because of the town atmosphere.

I'm a big fan of Loveland

Yeah. Some people died there this season.

Let me know if you want a plane/travel-safe go-to solution to ensure you get the hit you need. Aeropress is the 1 word answer. $25USD and all your problems are solved.

Good point, I do love those and lack one as it happens

There is some crazy fucker in a white van parked in front of my house. He keeps getting out, locking his van, and walking around in the middle of the road looking down. It looks like his elbow is bleeding. I thought he was Hurt or something until he got in and out of his van for third Time. I am going to try and get a pic because this shit is weird. He is in the van but keeps hitting the alarm, starting it, and stopping it.
Now he drove down two houses, turned around, drove to the other side of the street, and got back out
Pay no attention to my dead ass snake plants, they are not making the move with me.

I've said it before and ill say it again…
USPS is absolutely worthless. 9/10 times you can walk a package to its destination in less time. I CANNOT STAND THESE MONGRELS

Wow, so this isn't a rant but since D-666 mentioned Loveland and I mentioned the fatal avalanche I wanted to share this story my buddy told me the other night.
Right after those hiking boarders died in an avalanche this season at Loveland my buddies were supposed to be taped for a commercial there for Mitsubishi cars. Basically this producer that frequents the restaurant one of them works at saw him after he came in for his shift after a morning of ripping fresh and asked why he was glowing. He told her about his morning runs and she asked if he could send her some videos. She showed them to Mitsubishi and they wanted to use him. She asked if he had any friends to bring in for the shoot and he brought in another of our buddies. He had full creative control of the skiing aspects of the thing in terms of setting it up, and they were going to get a generous hourly rate, and could have kicked off a serious video portfolio with it. On top of all that, wound up snowing 19" day before the scheduled shoot. Would have been ideal to make a killer video for this commercial.
While it pales in comparison to the loss of those human lives, the opportunity vanished when they closed down Loveland after the avalanche.
