White's Boots

13+ weeks to get em but hot damn I like em. Didn't realize it was going to be like walking on wooden planks at first… but can't wait to tame these beasts
(They're not this red, will try and take better pics later just snapped a couple before work)
Also, should I go kiltie or no kiltie?!?
-
great simple build.
funny how things are sometimes so much better without all the bells and whistles.
They look really clean, agree.

I say no kiltie. Unless you are on the farm, no reason to pretend you are.
-
No kiltie. Just looks cleaner and better that way.
-
No kiltie.

Option 2 definitely.
-
Option 2 was my first choice, but MaxPower did come up with the idea of a 8" boot, and I started to like the commando sole:
(the picture shows option 1, just with a single midsole) -
Spent my afternoon to read the whole thread. So many options, so many great options, the world of custom boots is really amazing

Those look awesome! What's the full spec list on them?

Thanks man! Always nice to hear, especially from such a boot aficionado! Just starting to work them in (the hot weather has limited wearing opportunities, but my ankles have been spared a bit at the same time)

Will try and find my camera for some more detailed pics.

Happy for you Tiger, finally got your boots after such a long wait… Hard to tell but it "looks like" regular trim (double stitched). Love the red dog. I'm not usually a fan of false tongues but depends on the boot - I kind of like it with some lace-to-toe builds. You should post some pics with both.

I like Option 2… unless you need it for work, 8" is just extra weight - and lowered heel combined with double sole sounds risky - it might work, but why take a chance with $500 boots that take 2-3 months to build? Option 2 is a no-brainer imo. plenty good for shit-kicking esp. with the double sole.

Remember this post:
@bl@ster:
Thanks bros. Due to my boot habit (ahem, I have a problem) the #8 Burgundy's don't have enough wear to make for an interesting pic. When they do, I will surely post.
Also, I have a pair of Semi-Dress in Brown Bison leather coming. That should be interesting – I'll also post those pics when they arrive. In addition (!) I've started to experiment with the White's "Classic Workboot" with another #8 Chromeexcel on order that's going to be VERY interesting. They are basically going to match/emulate these Horseman Joe boots from the Red Wing Euro blog which blew me away:

Will post those shots when they come (8-10 weeks at the moment).
Well the boots are in, boys, and they turned out great. Have a look (btw, I requested no White's logo stamp and they obliged):
