White's Boots
-
I did hit em with some ubernaufs right outta the gate.
Ahh, specs, they are whites SD and I'll have to dig around a bit for the rest. Brown leather, it's smooth…oh yeah and there is a toe cap. I know that much. I just went in had a really nice gal trace my feet, take some measurements and said ok build me a boot.
In all seriousness though, I did pick out the leather but off the top of my head I am forgetting which one it is. I'll figure it out soon-ish.

semi-distressed cow hide
vibram composition sole
SD heellike I said, I was going for about as basic as you can get.

For Bluegrass & Co, to give you an idea of standard Smoke Jumper last shape against Semi Dress last toe shape:
Smoke Jumper Standard SJ last:
Semi Dress last shape:
I will be having quite a lot of detailed info/ shots on the custom part of the website with regards to all the options White's offers including info about the various lasts etc….within the month. Meant as a custom aid but I'm sure it will be a handy resource in general.
Cheers.

Put up a photo of c461 please…EW....huge help..because of you I just ordered a pair of SJ but with Semi Dress last...no celastic.
Tried the standard SJ last and it was so rounded....not a nice shape to me...tried the Swing.. which fit nice but looked clown like till I got a pair of rough out in swing but no celastic...looks great...looks a lot different.
I hope White's pays attention to how you have organized your site....really organized if you want to buy a new pair of boots..you show the leathers great....your photos of the stock shoes are great...all angles...just add all the lasts please. -
Hello everybody
I joined this forum cause I think you guys have the best white's boots forums out there.
I'm trying to finalize my decision on a pair of smoke jumpers.
I've narrowed it down to 6" - Smoke Jumper Last - regular brown SJ leather - soft toe - vibram 700 sole standard heel height etc…
where I hit a road block is Lace to Toe or Plain toe. I really like the way both look, but I'm torn. So I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with lace to toe or both LTT and PT on the smoke jumper last.
and here is my contribution to the thread - my brown CXL semi dress boots
these have been rebuilt twice for size adjustments. I have issues with the shape of my right foot. as you can see in the last photo - White's used a heavy fitting on the outside of the boot to make the toe box a little less tapered. I've owned the boots for almost 3 years now, but the leather on the toe is from sometime in april - when the most recent rebuild was done. I think I probably should have gone with the smoke jumper to begin with…so lesson learned I guess. I still love these.
also my Dad's side of the family lives in Spokane, so I've been able to visit the factory a couple of times and do the factory tour ( which was awesome ) and yes - I was measured at White's. these are some pics I was able to snap - I wasn't sure how they felt about me taking pictures so theyre kinda rushed and on my old 3Gs.

funny! every pair of boots - every pair of jeans… "...look just like your other ones."
well guess what: I can't tell the difference between all her shit either!
I think lace-to-toe is a little more fashion-forward for street wear - it's a good choice either way you go. and less likely your girl will say they look the same as your SDs.
