White's Boots
-
Hi @Crit_Obs I would echo most of the above. Overall they fit fairly similar in length and width but for me the SJ’s have a bit more volume across the top of the foot/ toes whereas the SD’s feel slightly wider at the front of the foot but more shallow in height. Send me a mail if you want to chat more on particular boots and sizes, there can be some variation due to leather thickness etc..
Cheers.
Hey Jamie,
I was just wondering whether the "Contact us" feature on your site is working? I dropped you a message there but only afterwards did I remember it used to have some problems in the past.

Hey again @Crit_Obs
I seem to be getting messages okay in general, at least I hope so! But maybe not as I haven’t got anything from you through the website.
Try: ewapparel@gmail.com and I’ll get back to you sharpish.
Cheers.

I received my White's last month. It's hard to not wear these. So comfy.
I wasn't 110% on the sizing, but I'm actually really happy with the fit! On my trip to Portland I decided to go to Eugene and pay a visit to Baker's. Kyle helped me out and was extremely knowledgeable regarding both Wesco and White's. I now know the correct size for each brand for future purchases!

@tailoredfamcam very nice pair right there.

Just ordered from Baker's Boots. The current lead time is around 6~8 weeks.

@atm23 how do you find the combination of C461 & wedge sole? Does it feel like "walking uphill", as described by some (Kyle among them)? Is the arch support prominent?
Edit: I might have jumped into conclusions cos of the photo; it could be that you actually just ordered, and didn't receive them yet, in which case please savour my questions and report back in 6-8 weeks.

**@rocket Thanks! I can't wait! They're black as well.
@Crit_Obs I just ordered them so I haven't had the chance to give them a "test walk"! I will come back in a few months with a review. Then again, in a couple months its going to be summer, so they may not get much wear until the colder months.**

Thank you for the build details @rio .
I'll be thinking about a similar build, and I'd like that same color and leather. I like lasts with more arch support so I'll talk to Kyle about how to go about it. Will let you know once I have an offshoot of your pair to show.

I take really good care of my boots, so these look nice still but have seen a LOT of wear. They'll turn 2 in October I believe. 8" Bounty Hunters, laced to toe in #8 CXL. They're lined and have Vibram 430s and single celastic toe boxes. I loved this particular pair so much that I had another built, same specs except natural CXL and natural edges. I brush every pair every single time I take them off, store them with cedar trees, and usually keep pouches of shredded cedar inside to keep them dry. I treat with Obenauf's LP whenever they look to need it, generally before winter and a time or two during. This pair is well on it's way to needing a resole.
