IH 666 XHS
-
I'm new to IH and this forum. and I'm thinking about buying some IH666XHS. My measurements are closest the the size 38. I'm not planning on soaking them or washing them unless absolutely necessary. My question is, on this heavy of a fabric to most people buy their true size? Or size up? Or down? How much do they stretch of any? I don't have much experience with heavy weight denim so any advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks! -
Usually TTS or size down… Tons of IH-666-XHS info in this thread: http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=1819.msg422633#new

Welcome @Brock
from the product page:
Sanforized, but unwashed, so expect some shrinkage but like all denim, will stretch up to one inch in the waist with wear. Likey to see about 1" shrinkage in the length
When selecting your size, please check actual measurements you need (measure an existing pair like this, do not simply go by tag size) and compare with detailed measurements for this model by clicking the "Sizing" tab above
the forum thread with a lot of informations and experiences can be found here:

I wouldn't size down if these are your introduction to heavyweight denim. Some folks have sized up on XHS! I'd say the thigh measurement is the key. You'll be able to get a bit of stretch out of the waist, but the thighs will stay close to the same.

Okay thanks! I'll be sure to double check the thigh measurements. I'm just worried if I get the W38 because of the thigh measurement that the waist will stretch out and be awkward? 37s would be perfect if they made them.

I hear that^
37 would be my ideal size in almost all IH jeans -
Also agree, focus on the thigh measurement. These jeans will dominate you if the thighs are too small. I own a pair of IH 666 XHS and purchased my usual waist size and thighs are just right. They have treated me very well so far.
