DOUBLE DUCK 634 WORLD TOUR
-
The weather has been so nice we decided to get out of the city for a night and camp at Bear Beach.
Its located on the Juan De Fuca Trail which is about a 1.5 hour drive from our place in Victoria.
Bear Beach is our favourite spot to camp because it is only used by the odd hiker so we normally get the place to ourselves.
Making coffee with fresh water from the river.
We forgot the newspaper to start the fire so cedar shavings had to do the trick
Breakfast followed by a low tide walk

Feeling sunburnt but back home in time for my lady's first tattoo appointment.
Delivered my East Hastings triptych to a local gallery.
Photograph of the finished piece.
Forum uploads with this sour bastard.

Man that scenery is amazing! I thought the previous camping spot was the best I had seen but Bear beach tops it!!

Thanks @Fadez and @spitfiredealer. Its such a killer spot and its close enough to home that its not a hassle.

My last couple days with the ducks before sending them off to @DanielAFC.
Parking lot metal show at Wheelies Motorcycles last weekend.
Some much needed greasy food the following day…
I tried my damnedest to keep the Ducks paint free this past month and I practically succeeded minus the odd tiny smear. Its no Iron Heart apron but it saved the pants!

I got the ducks in the mail from @mitchellvilla today! They have aged so well, and fit well other than the quad cuff as I have a pretty short inseam. Looking forward to wearing these over the next bit and hopefully showing you guys some more great spots around coastal BC

@DanielAFC can we have a update please?

What wonderful posts @mitchellvilla. Your artwork reminds me of an Edward Burra exhibition I went to a few years back.. fabulous.

Hey @DanielAFC your last post on the IH forum was June 3rd 2017, see below;
However @DanielAFC, you were last active on the IH forum on Sep 21st 2017, see below;
I too would love an update on the tour jeans please pal . . . . -
My sincere apologies guys, I washed these back in July and intended on sending them off immediately but they got other clothes pilled on top and forgotten about. it's been quite hot here so I wasn't thinking about jeans and the summer has been very busy. I have some photos from earlier in the summer that I made sure to get while I was wearing the jeans, but please let me know who these are going to next and I will send them out immediately. Sorry again guys

Just checking in to say I'm still here! I'd love to see these things keep moving.
-
Where are you at in Canada man? Would love to pass them off to someone close by but will defer to @spitfiredealer as there are a few people ahead in the lineup. I'll try to get some photos up tonight, but unfortunately I'll be a bit of a let down after Mitchell

Looking forward to seeing some updates on these Ducks too!

So hey, here is my updated after much delay. I only use my phone for internet access, so I've been dreading doing all of this , but it's a holiday Monday, I'm enjoying a nice coffee and some great music (flying lotus - lovers melt 2 mix) so I'm going to power through it. Sorry that there won't be a ton of photos of me in the ducks here, it was really really really hot in the PNW this summer. I mostly just ride bikes, eat food and drink beer. I also work as a butcher for q company called two rivers. We supply most of BCs finer resturants with all manner of meats, fresh sausage and charcuterie.
Okay, to start off here are the bikes in started and finished the tour with. Both in the obligatory standing on their own fashion in a couple of iconic spots in mountain biking on Mt Seymour in North Van. First bike is the old Rocky Mountain Altitude and new one is the new Rocky Mountain Element, cause little bikes are more fun.
Right after getting the ducks I went home to Ontario for a quick trip to see family and go to Do Make Say Thinks record release/first headlining show in 5 years.
The woods at 3 stage just outside of Collingwood. This is where I started biking 17 years ago
Last few photos were the unassuming but great pork buns at momofuku along with the oasthouse collab peach beer. The other two are of the dry age room of cumbraes on queen. Without a doubt Ontario's best butcher shops, they have a few locations in Toronto and have been around forever
After finishing up downtown I headed west into little Italy and hit up the new volo. Their original location on yonge was one of the first if not the first speciality beer bars in Canada and it was certainly the best. They got shifted by their landlord so the shit pub/cafe next door could expand into their space. Thankfully their new location is even better. I had a couple local ontario beers and then indulged in their special bottle event and had the crooked stave persecia and the 2015 almanac dogpaatch grand cru. Both were fantastic. After that I went to burdock on bloor, just a quick walk away where I tried a couple of their beers along with their fantastic in house made sourdough.
After all that beer I needed food, so I enjoyed a nice walk into Kensington market to queue up at seven lives tacos. It was very hard to walk past AF1 Caribbean , but I really like tacos.
After that I walked over the show at the Danforth music hall, where I proceeded to take no photos hahha. Then I went home. In between I cooked a full beef tenderloin on the bbq for my parents brother and aunts at home in collingwood. But someone managed to take no pictures in the excitement of the day. I got very lucky with a full row to myself for the flight back home to the mountains
After I got home my mom sent me this photo from blue mountain just outside of Collingwood where I snowboarded and rode bikes growing up…..Can you tell they got alot of rain through the spring and into the early summer?
