The Real McCoys

So next year I'm buying a deck jacket. In torn between this and the IH one. Does anyone have experience with both? It's a little ways away, but I like to day dream about it. I need a seriously warm coat for when I don't feel like wearing my primaloft.

Good call. I'm excited to get read opinions when they start coming in. Thanks G.

I absolutely love my RMC and it has an extremely thick pile of alpaca. Pretty much beaver pelt thickness. It is not something I would recommend to anyone living somewhere fairly warm. You wouldn't get much use of it in the South. I think you would in St. Louis though.
I think the IH one is absolutely stunning. If it had dropped sooner I'd have gotten one as my first IH coat. That said, I can't say I'm anything but floored by the heft and construction of the RMC and am very happy with it.
The one thing that is the most general differentiator is that IH makes a jacket inspired by a naval deck jacket, where RMC makes a slightly modified reproduction of different naval deck jacket models. Some people don't like repro shit. When it comes to outerwear, I have 3 military repros, so I'm clearly not in that camp.
I anxiously await my first IH coat, the M65 in black.

Hey Davito! Yeah i've looked at their site and the chest on both the L and XL seems tiny….34 and 36 inches. I know they stretch but presume they also shrink slightly when washed. In terms of length I sway more for an L. Are the BiG measurements pretty accurate normally? I'm dying to find a tip top Henley or 2. In terms of build, I'm quite broad shouldered and stocky....1m76 and 80kgs (for now...hope to get that down to my 75-77kg fighting weight sometime soon ) Any other Henley suggestions welcome

Anyone experienced with this one?

At least in three branches yes but nobody knows the excact details of the Group structuring than the japanese Partners themselves imho
and for reference an article about Toys McCoy from Cold Summer published in rawrdenim

legally yes of course, this is what we all said. but then nobody of us knows the exact details of the restructuring back then and so it could be that you have the same shareholders through different companies in all or some of the restructured companies (which are legally separate entities distributing their brand) or maybe not. However, my 2 cents.
