Hoping for the 634 to go up or be posted soon

Talk about shifting gears! Going from the 21 to 14oz 777s … high speed low drag!

@Giles have you noticed about the same stretch compared to the 21oz selvedge? Looking at knees and thighs, thanks.

Sounds like a good fabric weight for hot climates! I'll be buying a pair cut from this fabric as soon as a suitable cut exists

Wearing my 634 in 14oz for the first time today. I'm impressed. I had plenty of denim in this weight range from other manufacturers before, but these are seriously better than anything else I had. Now waiting to see their fading characteristics.

It is definitely an impressive denim. Feels pretty substantial for 14oz for sure, my 15oz Strike Golds feel light in comparison. I have a feeling this denim has lots of potential for very nice fades.

After spending 10 or so days in this denim, I have to say I'm blown away at how nice it is. When this denim was announced, I thought "sweet, I'll be able to comfortably wear a pair of IH's in the summer finally", and that was enough to justify ordering the 666 version. I have enough IH that I know any denim they release will be awesome, but this denim far surpassed my expectations. I can confidently say that the 14oz denim is even softer and more comfortable than the legendary 21oz, and while it probably has a tighter weave, it can't possibly be much tighter because it has plenty of stretch and give to it, and seems to breathe well enough. At the same time, it feels way more substantial than I'd expect, it feels more like 16-17oz to me. It lacks the "sheen" of the 21oz denim, but it makes up for it by having more character and texture. Props to @Haraki-san for being open-minded enough to try his hand at lighter weight stuff, he really knocked it out of the park with this denim.

I'll just chime in and agree with the others here and say that the 14oz fabric is fantastic. I have it in the 777 cut. As others have stated there is plenty of stretch to this denim. I don't agree that it's softer than the 21oz fabric and I feel that is has some starch crispiness to it, but not an overwhelming amount. I can easily wear these jeans at night during the summer months in Az. I haven't worn them in the day yet but keep in mind not many people wear anything other than shorts during the day in the AZ summer months unless it's work attire.
Don't second guess picking up this fabric if you're looking for a lighter weight denim with typical Iron Heart quality.
