This , and another plaid (or tartan?) insanely amazing fabric .

Hold up… That's really flat head? I've never seen that shirt before.
For some reason, the fh shirt I get the most compliments on is the wabash.
Probably get more on my sun surf hula though!

yeah , the tag says "the flat head winter wear". The sad/weird thing is, I think I bought it off a member of here on ebay. The guy actually had like 12 flat head shirts for sale, all my size, but I only won one auction because I didn't know what size I wore in them. Turns out, the one I won fits perfect ,and no more are popping up on ebay since.

Cool photo Private Eyes. There are some stunning fabrics from The Flat Head. Not much in the current collection is grabbing my attention though and their sizing has been messed up this winter too. I just need to cop their chambary workshirt and I'm done!

I have specified that all my shirts are made according to previous season's measurements as opposed to the new shorter standard. This will include one of the most beautiful pale blue chambray work shirt I have ever seen coming this spring. Hope all's well out in HKG.

It's just the glory park flannels that fit way smaller right? Do the others fit smaller or just shorter? And was this intentional? I've no clue…

All FH shirts are now made a little shorter in body length

All FH shirts are now made a little shorter in body length unless otherwise requested by a retailer.

Oh hot damn…good for me!!

. Don't feel too upset, (know it's hard not too ) as there is a very healthy selling and trading element on here! @private eyes [emoji4]

I'm really keen to get some flat head shirts but struggling to track down any in a 36. I particularly liked that indigo and white houndstooth western they did last last year, but man it seems like those things are gold dust!

Rakuten is your best bet…but 36s are insanely small... Like smaller than xs

Mine are 36, and I don't think they're that small. Im 5'10, 145lbs and fits great.

Yeah I know, I tried on the 38 in this year's buffalo flannel in the western cut and it was too big. I've already broached with Giles that XS in Iron Heart is too large for me! UES size 1 seems like a good fit but I'm keen to branch out.
Edit: Been scouring Rakuten as well, thanks for the tip Ben. It seems like 2nd seem to sell a lot of Flat Head stuff but I can't make head nor tail of whether stuff is manufacturer and I'm pre-ordering for next season, or if it's previously pre-ordered stuff they have for sale!
-
Yeah it's iffy… Good luck finding what you want!
Jawnz looking pretty tasty if I may say so myself.

Guys, as someone who used to work for Flat Head, I can tell you that Giles' evaluation of the business dynamic is spot on. They make a great product but the Japanese-ness can make business dealings difficult. My impression of what I've read about Haraki is that he is a major outlier from the normal Japanese way of thinking about business stuff - and it seems like it's worked out well for everyone involved in his case.
I love how a lot of Iron Heart shirts look but the fits just absolutely wouldn't work for me. On a shirt like the IHSH-109, for example, a Medium would fit me pretty good, except for being 4-5 inches too big in the chest. Flat Head's shirts fit great through the body, but I really wish they were longer in the sleeves and hem. Being tall and skinny really sucks if you're into cool clothes.
We have enough jean companies already, what we need is a company making awesome shirts from selvedge fabrics that are tailor-made. If I had any interest in (or knowledge about) running a business, this is what I would do.

I can't agree with this post more. We must share a similar body type. I'm good with the IH fits, but Flat Head would be a serious home run if the shirts were cut longer with longer arms. No question. They simply aren't suited to long, lanky men.
And you're dead on about shirts. There's hay to be made focusing exclusively on finely loomed selvedge fabric shirts if only for the fact that so much more variation is possible. It does seem to me that there's a hole in the market that companies like Iron Heart and Flat Head are addressing… but not filling.
