Giles & I were discussing the relative similarity of the 888 and 1955 cut and how we may be better to tweak one of them to give a slightly more marked difference..
The 888 is perfect, please do not play too much. If you have to the rise could loose an inch but for the love of all that is good don’t touch the thigh.

More thigh is always better!! [emoji23]

Yeah I could live with the thigh staying the same but the rear rise can give a bit of nappy arse.

The rise of the 888NT was about an inch lower than the 888S if I recall. I like the 888NT rise. Just saying

Love the shirts, the 133 is a fav of mine too. Looking forward to them when they release. Looks like a nice set of replacements. Next Summer I guess?
Oh, and I’m also down for a super black workshirt..

I think the 888 is perfect as it is!

888 rear rise should stay the same!
To me, with a drop in the front rise! If the whole thing was canted forward the diaper butt wouldn’t be an issue. My 463s are perfection in the top block. If they were only a tapered cut…
Btw, that unwashed type III looks noice!

Given that the 1955 is modeled after the Levis Jean of that year, if you tamper with the cut, wouldn't you have to rename it the 1955ish
+1 for the one inch rear rise reduction on the 888. Perfect fit for me otherwise. Nice leg hem to wear with boots, but not too big for me like the 634 can be (for my waist size).

If you mean is the 14oz black/black different from super black (which is reactive dyed warp and weft)? Then yes it is different:
