It's probably the subject for a dissertation because of the complexity of the derivation….
Mock derives from the Japanese moku which means nep. That is small lumpy imperfection in the white yarn which causes the white specks...

Mock twist fabric has a mottled ‘salt & pepper’ texture, this is created by weaving two different coloured rovings (loose pre-woven cotton) to make a single thread yarn giving it the effect of a 2 ply twisted yarn. This gives the fabric its distinctive detail and durability.

Khaki western and green w/s have my attention… but so does the IHSH-13 and IHSH-21. Will I ever get my arse in gear and land one of those?
Semi-related, inspired by @Wlemon I put on my IHSH-62-WHI this morning with a pair of worn out 666-XHS and some bloody big boots. In my first lesson a geeky git of a 17-year old (wearing grey jogging bottoms and an Adidas tracksuit top, btw), called my outfit "basic" and asked my what was wrong. Apparently he was worried I was having a bad morning and not gotten dressed properly because I wasn't wearing one of my "rock 'n' roll cowboy vests"… So maybe more shirting shouldn't be on the cards. I clearly have a reputation to maintain ::)

Haha, @neph93. You can get the white Wabash vest to wear over the shirt.

I'm wearing the shirt again next Tuesday open to the navel, with a full set of GA bling hanging between my saggy man boobs and the Viking Kitty on top of it all. That will teach the cheeky git.
