Thanks! I will say I reached out to Lynch Silversmith first but they said they don’t make individual silver buckles . I wish they did as they were the inspiration for this boot. I even made the outsole thread black to reflect their black model’s outsole.
Made some adjustments on the order. Shaved from 10 inch to 9 inch based on the flexibility of the sole and all the threads are black.

Yesterday afternoon I was glued to my window waiting for the UPS man to deliver my new boots.
Here they are! Wesco 7500 in brown Horween horsehide. I went with the MP toe and a Vibram 430 sole with a natural midsole.

Thanks guys, I love them. I wasn't quite sure about the natural midsole when I ordered them but as soon as I saw the contrast of the natural and deep brown tones I knew it was the right call.
I ordered the Black Bear x Wesco Roughrider Plainsmen Jobmasters around the same time and I got the shipping notification for them today. Gonna be a slow break in process for these two pairs stuck in my house!

^^^ Now that's a sweet lookin' build!

It is, wanted them to be as waterproof as poss….
Very sensible choice, and I can attest that they will be. There is a pic of my black oil tanned boss somewhere here in six inches of icy water. My feet remained dry that day.
I’m impressed by the look of it. Any chance you could photograph the roughout inside of the shaft. I am formulating plan…

Dumbass question: if I do a custom order through you, can you ask Wesco to find and use a lighter tan like this, assuming some batches are darker?
I’ve been researching the brown oil tan for a while and couldn’t get a bed on the actual colour. This may explain why.
Could some of the problem be that they switched which base color they're using as their brown oil tan? I remember it being said they they switched to a chestnut oil tan over what they'd been using a year or so prior.
