Don't know if you've ever heard of this brand  but they're the American version of Iron Heart for sweaters and shearling coats. I own 3 of their greasewools and like IH jeans, not only are the sweaters virtually indestructible, but they get more beautiful with wear and age. Much of their stuff is Unisex.  Plus check out their shearlings ! Their stuff ain't cheap but I figured that members of this forum gave up on bargain hunting a long time ago.

What the hell. I just had my mom take these photos moments ago. Here I am in my IH 301S (W28/L32) and brown greasewool turtleneck (Unisex S from French Creek Sheep and Wool). It's COLD AS FUCK in Oakland !

Thanks Giles ! Except I lied about the size of my IH 301S, they're W28/L36 (unaltered). I always get the belt size (32) and length mixed up in my postings.

Interesting post indeed. The Shearling coats look very nice and are not too expensive at all. I wouldn't say they are the American equivalent of IH in terms of marketing, though, but might appeal to the same crowd. I have a shearling coat by the Italian Ruffo brand and am in love with it ever since I got it more than 12 years ago.

I think the comparison of a pair of heavy IH jeans with a good leather jacket is indeed a good one.

Great way to put it Till, that French Creek Sheep and Wool "…might appeal to the same crowd..." (as Iron Heart that is). That's what I meant. I don't own one of their shearlings but would love to -- it's on my list !
