SHIPPING

I received the newsletter regarding the christmas holidays and opening times.
My question is - can you instruct UPS to deliver on a specific date?
Like: ship it out before christmas, but deliver it no earlier than the 27th?(The reason for this question is that I want to get another UHF in XS for the missus, and obviously no german retailer has that size in stock. But we're in the Netherlands the week after christmas, and thus I could circumvent the shipping charge by having it shipped there…)

We can not instruct UPS to deliver on a specific date once it has shipped on our end but you will be able to use UPS My Choice on your end to change the delivery day / redirect to an access point.
You can, however, place the order and add a note requesting us to ship it on a specific day.

Dear IH crew, thank you - worked like a charm.
Since nobody gifted me socks for Christmas, I did so myself.
And the wife will be happy with her new UHF! -
Im in a weird situation where I have a loyalty voucher that id love to spend in the upcoming sale (on a 307) but the shipping fees to Germany (Munich) are higher than what the voucher would save me, ultimately making an order through IH Germany, who also run a sale, less expensive.
I of course would love to make use of my voucher though (and support IHUK…)
Is anyone from Germany in a similar situation and willing to do a collaborative order to share the shipping fee? I’d stack my order, let it ship with yours and we share the fee. Or the other way around. Maybe we can even share by three (or more). Only if the stubborn crew lets us do that of course.
Or is there any other way to go about this?
Cheers

@weftyarn I'm pretty much in the same situation. May be interested in a SS2023 349. Question is if the timing will work.
@Alex and @Giles apart from all love and friendship, I must say I'm still irritated and disappointed by this exclusive shipping condition for Germany. Don't think it was a good move. I understand your commercial problem, but from my perspective you have shifted it over to the german customers instead of finding a customer friendly solution. I do not know - despite all my loyalty vouchers - how I could possibly make orders from IHUK under reasonable circumstance for myself. Collecting stack orders from different german customers in Gosport, sending them over to one of them and getting them distributed here by ourselves would probably work (as long as the orders are somewhat in the same timeframe), but it would be a solution in our shoulders, and I would have expected you to find anything like that. Sorry, for speaking so openly here, but you know how much I admire you work, and I think you can beare it.

@weftyarn @endo I could offer help, if it is single or only few/smaller items for both of you.
See my above posts - I circumvent shipping fees to Germany by having the order shipped to my holiday home in the Netherlands. I'll be there for the full two weeks of the Easter holidays and will probably order something myself either during the sale or from the SS23. Let me know if we should work something out.(Full disclosure: It has worked so far, but I have some fears of liability. The UPS driver is either a dick or stupid. It is my own house, but still located in a park and he leaves the packages in the post room at the reception even if shipments require a signature. But as the tracking from UPS is pretty accurate, I know the rough date and time of arrival, will stay at home and jump to the reception once the tracking status is updated.)

@tody That would be phenomenal! Thanks so much for the offer. I‘ll send you a DM, so we can talk the details.

@endo I understand your frustration, but we did not want this. I have spoken on this several times, and I have nothing more to add. We tried several solutions prior to implementing this change and have wasted thousands of dollars opening a business in the Netherlands to try a circumvent this, and nothing has worked. We essentially got to a point of needing to either stop selling to Germany together or implement this change. Unfortunately, this was the lesser of two evils.
I am looking into various other options to try and ease this situation moving forward, but rest assured if there was a good one that had already been identified, then it would already be in place.

A shop in the netherlands would be cool tho! In Utrecht, i would def wanna work there and spread all the love on this brand!
-
@Alex do you mean a shop in shop or just a ih shop only?
-
@Alex I understand, it's a frustrating matter and I know you do what you can. I can only imagine what enormous costs you already must have had trying to get this solved. Maybe this is the situation where the solidarity in the forum will find a solution against all odds from brexshit, like the ideas from @weftyarn and @tody

Exactly this^…… couldn‘t find better words. Thanks.
I quit on ordering at least 3 times an item since the change because it would be to expensive or can‘t find the Product at EU retailers after browsing 5-6 shitty Websites to find it. Nobody offers the full range (understandable) and it‘s a pain in the a* to find it.
And especially for Bottoms are additional costs if you want them hemmed. Shipping from retailer, shipping to hemming service and back, hemming service. Extra of 50-60€ min. And after all a much longer waiting time before I can have the pants on my legs. This is what the great IH customer service was all about in the past for me. Seeing the product in the shop, knowing the price, ordering by click, two days later seeing a brown truck with a brown man handing me over a blue bag. Perfect.
