Non IH jackets and outerwear

Oh hell no :o

I admire your willingness to think outside the box, @Graeme, as well as your willingness to post an item like that here, where it will get little love.
I have to admit, I kinda dig the scarf.
-
I figured that it wouldn't get much love because it's not made in Japan, and it's not a Type 2 or 3. People haven't exactly been rushing out to buy the First Zip, which is one of my favourite Iron Heart pieces.
The fact that it's atypical is why I like it.
Will I get one? Probably not, though it'd be fun for the Denim World Championship. But I'll probably keep an eye out for it in the next Burberry sale…

And that perspective is why I enjoy your posts.
If you do pick up one at a reasonable price, I hope you'll share your impressions.

Honestly couldn't have said it better myself!

I have been searching for the perfect winter/fall jacket that I can easily take on the bike and also wear somewhat "dressed" up. Tall order IMO. I had the IHM-10, beautiful jacket, just not exactly a perfect fit for me. Tried the IHJ-37, fit great, but not perfect. So I have been debating dropping more serious coin on another attempt, and I did….
Schott Tanker, I think this one will stay with me...I got Schott to send me size chart for the jacket, M or L could work, went with a large due to the 24oz wool inside so I could still layer if need be. Chest is 24 1/4", length 25 1/2"(only slight worry, but we shall see), shoulder 19 1/2", sleeve 27 1/4"
I should have her in by Friday, can't wait!

@Finkster I just meant the bottom two photos. Top one is a dif guy, just great photo.
Mail says Thursday. If I love it, like always, tons of bragging….i mean fit pics

Shirt is 3 sixteen. SOP Ben never strays from the brands he carries at his shop. Excited to hear your thoughts on the jacket when it comes.
-
denim jacket looks like Rogue Territory to me & the shirt looks like 3sixteen
Snake Oil Provisions dudes are crazy cool & that Ben cat is super chill & helpful (they have the most beautiful cardigan on offer from Stevenson at the moment)
good pickup, hope it works for you

The fit is stellar. Wish it was 2" longer. The left field miner pants I have on in photo i can elwear high enough to go with the style. My 634s not sure yet. Wish the armpit was closer to my armpit for better movement. Only pulls back when I reach real good. So I am def happy. Beautiful fabric and quality.
-
@Finkster the sleeves were a little up. I assure you this fits beautifully. Good room in chest, arms are perfectly fitted, I am now hiking up the pants more than EVER in my life….all is good! LOVE this jacket! Finally have a army inspired jacket.
Here is the proof

nice reynolds vulcs.

@Jordonf9 jacket is great but the fit looks weird paired with the jeans & tucked tee.
unrelated to this thread, I think your jeans are great, but might be too big for you or maybe not the right fit with the tanker. I don't know, just trying to be honest with out being an a$$hole

Thanks @Appfaff and @Finkster . I have always had a soft heart for Andrew Reynolds shoes…been a while since I bought any footwear. But seeing how my Vans MTE are on their way out...and I can't get them The Emericas are a good replacement
You are sir....an ass @madmonday haha, jk. To each their own. I personally love it.
Of course I would love to have 2 inches in body length, but that ain't happening. While there are some gorgeous military and army jackets out there, I can't find another jacket like this.
I like the tucked shirt or sweater when I wear the jacket. I hate to see lots of material under a jacket and this jacket is the shortest one I ever rocked. All I got is my 634 SR, 634 SB, 634 LB and my Olive duck miners. I will soon have a nice pair of double indigo greaser jeans though
I love my 634SB. They are perfect fit for the movement I typically do and riding the bike isn't restraining in tight jeans.
