IHSW-10-BLK - 14oz Ultra Heavyweight Loopwheel Cotton Zip Up Hoodie - Black

2 YEAR UPDATE:
Picked this up in late September 2016 and have worn it extensively and without regard for its safety. I can wear this 2/3 of the year, and do. It is my go to in the early mornings to walk the dog and in the evenings after the button up's come off. I would say that I wear it almost every day in the cooler and cold months. I have washed it a bunch and even put it in the dryer on low a few times. The hood takes almost 2 days to air dry on the drying rack at my house, so every once in a while I'll dry it so I can get it back on more quickly.
This was one of the blackest garments I had ever seen right out of the bag, and it has held its color pretty well. I love how you can see the grain in the weave now that some of the black has faded.
There is noticeable wear on the sleeve cuffs and the left pocket opening has started to tear slightly, but this is one helluva tough hoodie. Glad the rework includes a 2 way zipper, those are great. I would love for this to be an inch longer, but that's just me.
Has held up better than I expected and is amazingly comfortable…I'd buy it again and probably will once I've thrashed this for a while longer.

I purchased a size medium from self edge but I'm thinking I'm going to return it to size up. Can anyone confirm if the hood size is consistent, or would a size large hood be bigger than a size medium hood?
I can't confirm, but if a size large hood is bigger than a size medium, I'm sure anyone would be able to comfortably wear it with an NFL helmet on! The hood on my medium makes me feel like Emperor Palpatine, lol!

Sleeves look kinda big on you, too. Maybe you should've sized down on that one.
-
At 30 months the cuffs tore through and have begun to split.

When is the grey version coming? I accidentally got the marle grey and it definitely isn't the same thickness.

It isn’t the same material.

@EJS it's going to be up to personal taste but for me it is too short. That is the issue I have with many IH cut and sewn items and it's unfortunate….. or fortunate for my wallet depending on how you look at it.

I also come from many years of wearing much longer and looser sweats (and tshirts) but I’m glad to have found and switched to shorter ones over the last five years. It did take a bit to get accustomed at first. Comfort when sitting, especially on a bike, is a huge plus. Access to pockets, less cloth gathered around midriff are other conveniences.
So I think you have the right length @EJS . You’ll be surprised how quickly you like them that length.
