I held out for 35 minutes. Not sure to feel good or bad about that. I think the olive in my hands will make me feel better.

@Giles this is a thinner fabric than the UHF I imagine, and therefore sizing down (since i am between sizes in the UHF) may be in order, yes? In the UHF I am a 23" chest, in thinner fabrics i am ususally a 22.5" – and always an 18" in shldr. advice?? ( also - i prefer the 256" sleeves and shorter torso)

hmmm… so you're saying use it as an top layer.. w more underneath...
-
Good god, both are stunning

That's the Medium on me:
Unfortunately it's going back [emoji20][emoji20][emoji20]
The cut is more workshirt than western IMO.Chest is OK with a T-shirt underneath but while it doesn't really show in the pic, the waist and opening give me the dreaded by me pregnant lady look, especially from the side.
Shame, the fabric and colour are superb and the large bronze snaps bring it over the top for me…Still need an olive shirt - hoping the upcoming military shirt will be a better fit

@zatenm - how Hefty is the fabric? my 141 has become my everyday shirt, and I need to change it up a bit for winter.. thinking either one of these or the upcoming CPO UHF…
but alas, I would want the olive in XL, like everyone else lol

That's an easy fix for any tailor. I'd keep it and make it truly my own by taking in the sides. Apart from the problem you described the fit is perfect.

Thanks @Jett129
The mirror pic is deceiving, it does look quite good in it. The reality is while the top part is nicely fitted, the mid and lower sections are too large. From the side, it almost looks like I'm wearing a bell, if that makes sense.
If only it were as large in the top section as it is in the mid/bottom… I could have justify it as a layering piece.
As is, I can only wear a T underneath with that flaring effect in the lower half, which is not a fit I can be happy with..@HPPI I tried that twice before and ruined 2 good IH western shirts. Maybe I had 2 bad tailors in a row but the 2x negative experience has put me off western alterations for good..

@zatenm I assume a small would be a bit too tight in the chest for you then? The mirror pic doesn't look terribly large, but it sounds like its deceiving. I'm sure the bell issue would go away sizing down.

Too small indeed @BloodnThunder
It's the chest that kills it for me…. -
