IH-526L - 19oz Left-Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Type III - Indigo

Definitely glad I went with the soak and wear damn trick. Feels fairly well moulded already opposed to the cardboard box I put on initially
For sure man I noticed a huge difference the next day from intitlaly opening the package.
-
Man yours looks awesome. Gonna be living in mine

Just wanted to contribute with some additional data. Here is (I believe it used to be called "Version I") my old 526L. I sold it a few months ago as it was too tight and instead purchased an IH-526PJ which, in my opinion, is by far (!) more comfortable and suitable for the warmer temperatures.
Worn every day and night for a year.

@cityofdelusion that is a beautifully faded jacket. Do you mind if I ask how many washes/soaks? Machine or hand? I like the way the back is a bit marbled, which may sound like blasphemy 'round these parts.
-
@Oaktavia Thank you. I think I must have washed it more than five times in the washing machine and perhaps once or twice manually. I believe the marbling is due to sitting often with the jacket on as I do a lot of reading and writing.
Edit: I just noticed that mine was the first version of the unsanforised version of the IH-526L Mods, please feel free to move my post if necessary.
-
@cityofdelusion current one is also unsanforized so I think you’re good (there’s only one thread, if you go back it covers the V1 and V2 - believe this is essentially the V2 but they just took it out of the title/reference)
-
@Oaktavia Thanks for the interest!
@LewisStonehouse Ah, very well then
-
Gave mine another wash
-
@cityofdelusion @spitfiredealer great work, such an amazing fader if you put in the work!
-
@spitfiredealer youre a savage dude, that jacket looks amazing!
-
"Gave mine another wash"
In what? A cement mixer?
@spitfiredealer01. That jacket is a testimonial to how hardcore that denim is man. Keep going !
-
yep this denim certainly gives amazing fades. It's a beast, still feels like armour after all this time.

Holy smokes dude. That jacket is a work of art. How long have you been creating this monster peice? Machine washed? Lots of washes? Killer shit…
-
Thanks man. I think it’s about 6 or 7 years old. Only had 4 washes all of them in the machine. I tend to wear it under another coat so doesn’t get crazy dirty at work.
-
you just gotta live in it or be very active in it when you do wear it. I kept mine for casual wear for ages, but it was hardly changing so I thought fuck it and started wearing it for work.
