6 weeks in of daily wear and one cold wash. These bad boys are still crunchy and crispy. Mine don't look as good as @Giles do as far as fades go but I'll post some pics up this weekend for the hell of it.
yes they are still awesome.
Paging @manufc10 … pics are way overdue.
LOL. I know man I just really feel there isn't much that's pic worthy yet but ok, I can throw some up.
8 weeks in and two washes and they are just now slightly showing some signs of softening up a bit.

I feel ya, I can only wear jeans two days a week because of my job so my progress is painfully slow even with this denim. But we all need our denim porn, even if it's only soft core HBO After Hours denim porn.

Picking mine up tomorrow. Excited for the denim, nervous about the cut. First time with the 634.
EDIT: I should add, first time with the 634, and I've sized down [emoji51]
You'll love this denim, it's fantastic. With that being said though, has anybody ever really NOT liked an IH denim fabric? I know I love all of mine.
634 cut is still my favorite IH cut. I've played around with other cuts but at the end of the day the 634 sits at the top.

Generally speaking you're right of course, I have the XHS, the 21oz, the UHR, the SBG, as well as duck, Wabash and Pique trousers and love all those fabrics for different reasons. I will say though that I'm not a fan of the 17oz natty indigo. I have the 555N (on at the moment in fact) and I just don't feel the same love for it as I do for the other denims. I'm wearing the jeans as they are a nice fit, so maybe the fabric will develop but I'm not really feeling it. I would say that it would make an awesome shirting fabric for a CPO or shacket though.

I feel my legs are too short for straight cuts. I can pull off the 666 just about, but whenever I've tried regular straight cuts from other brands I feel they make me look short and squat, so I've steered clear of the 634. But I really wanted to try this denim and was hurting after the measurements of the Pronto tapered cut came up wrong for me. I needed new jeans So the W34 of these come up with similar measurements to my 666's and with a bit of stretch I should be good. New jean day, and a Friday: I'm stoked…

Seconded on all counts.

sorry to bombard this thread with a million photos but I was overdue on posting some. Some close up shots of the fabric while wearing them and the rest are when I hung them to dry after their first wash which was after four weeks of daily wear. Although they are still in their infancy you can see where the fades are beginning to pop through. Sorry for the low quality pics but it's the best I can do for now with my cell phone. Love these things. I don't feel I captured the true color very well but I love the shade of Indigo on these things.

@manufc10
Those are coming along real nice! Thanks for putting up some pictures. It's nice to see some worn examples as there aren't many posted yet. Any thoughts on how they've softened after some wear or how breathable the fabric is? Mine are still hanging in the closet waiting to be worn -
This denim seems to be every bit as breathable as the 21oz denim. I can only wear jeans two days a week because of my job, and mine have softened a bit but not as much as other IH denims I'm familiar with. They're still plenty comfortable though.

I am about 9 weeks in and two washes and they are just finally starting to show some small signs of softening up. I don't own as many IH jeans as other here but out of the 5 different jean fabrics I own these are by far the crunchiest/crispiest fabric. No uncomfortable but just stiff and crispy. I agree with @xtcclassic that they are pretty damn breathable. It was pushing 100 degrees this past weekend in Phoenix and I could wear them with relative ease although I will be putting them on the shelve in probably the next two to four weeks so I can bust out my 14oz for summer.
-
That's great to hear. Thanks for the response @xtcclassic and @manufc10

@manufc10 I have the 14oz denim as well, I'm curious to see which is actually cooler in the heat. I think the 18oz breathes better so I'm not sure which one will be cooler.

I was actually thinking the same thing. I almost want to say that the 18oz is cooler than the 14oz

If I were a betting man I'd bet the same, but we'll see. I'm in St. Louis so the true summer heat hasn't started here yet, but when it does, the suffocating humidity will come with it. We'll have to compare notes in a couple months.

Liking those a lot.

After my second wash on these I have to say that the fade progress really seems to be accelerating. Very nice to see. I'll throw up some more update pics in a couple weeks.
@xtcclassic I've been alternating this week between these and the 14oz and IMO these do seem a bit warmer than the 14oz.
