These arrived yesterday and i'm in them as i type.Fantastic quality as ever.
I really like the cut of these..as has already been said, they're a true 55,sitting higher than the 634 on the waist - mine are getting close to belly button level - which may not be for some but i really like that style.
Only on day 2 but they certainly live up to expectation so far.I'll have a go at fit pics at the weekend…there seems to be a distinct lack of photographic evidence that they're out there... -
Jimmy, you will be gald to hear I am taking the 33…. in fact I might just get another pair. the 34 is all yours!! now you can put up some fit pics.
This may help some other people...... I never ever size down I am always a size 34 or 35 on low to medium rise jeans, I have never owned a high rise jean like this. The 34 fit good but we all know 21oz stretches to your body. My hips are bigger then my waist (belly button) because the high rise lands on the waist(just below my belly button) and not the hips the 33 fits better. The full cut seat gives my hips and thighs more then plenty of room. The waist feels just snug enough to stretch perfect with wear.
Hope this helps someone.

Totally having second thoughts on returning these. I tried them on again this morning and liked them a lot more
Will decide by Monday!
634s are very suitable as everyday pair of jeans. 1955s cut are something more refined. Better get used to the idea having two pair of jawnz… you are in good company!

Paul they look very slimming on you, great from all angles, modern but classic at the same time a wicked cut for your body shape, I would suggest next time model with something on your feet. Thanks for pics.
Lol, yeah, they're not great pics. Basically everyone was asking for fit pics, so I got home and quickly took a few before the family got in. During the process I was called on a work issue, so I didn't have time to make the pictures more flattering

First of all I am new to the 55 cut never owned this high of rise. I do like the high rise and I have had the chance to wear these a handful of times…...
I will be the first to admit sizing down to a 33 might have been a little mistake... Pants fit great when standing and walking. More then plenty of room in thigh and arse. Due to the rise being above the hip they are a little tight when bending, squatting, or sitting. Not painful, but pretty snug. They have already stretched a 1/2 inch, I am sure they will be perfect with wear.
I will update next week and try get up some pics to see what other people think.

Now, I don't have a lot of fit/stretch experience with IH, really the only stretch experience I have is with my 634S, but I'm willing to bet that if you can button those now, but they just feel tight when bending, squatting, etc., that they'll stretch out to at least a size 34's measurements in time.
As I was thinking about which size to get in a 634-XHS, I noticed that my sized 33 634S have stretched beyond the thigh dimensions of the size 34 so that a brand new size 34 would actually be tighter on me than my worn-in size 33s.
Just wear the hell out of them!

Paul,
I am not to worried my 634s have stretched from a 34 to a 36, that was my concern on the size 34 1955s I was worried they would stretch and be way to big since they were loose to start.I am letting down my IH community….. I will have pics next week promise!! been busy with kids and work. and I am slow at getting pics on the web. Giles, If it helps motivate a second run I will do the pics.
