It is fairly dense fabric, but I could wear them in pretty warm temperatures myself. It really depends on your own body and what you find uncomfortable. I would say that they would not be my go-to summer pants, but not out of the question either. I imagine that to be the least helpful reply I have ever given, but there you go.

Right on par with most of my responses.

What are the odds of these being made in a gray or (non-fading) black? The fabric looks fantastic.

Well, how dark is charcoal grey? The black deck jacket (which you also suggested should be done in charcoal grey)here is actually very dark grey:

These are fucking awesome. I think they will be a bit warm for summer but definitely wearable in some of the warmer months. They could use some length taken off but other than that the fit is perfect. Fabric is great, color is great. Really wish I would have gotten a pair of the browns now.
@Giles are there plans to do these in any other colors? This whipcord fabric is great. Very nice feel and comfortable.
