Pardon my ignorance, but does the ringer around the neck provide any reinforcement? I am assuming it's an extra layer of material as opposed to the plain T and would help the neck keep its shape longer….

Should be today.  The shipment that it was on, got split and 3 of the 8 cartons spent a few happy days in Korea, they are scheduled to arrive today, the IHT-1720 are in one of those 3 cartons
