@tvenuto here’s a chart of different types of cats. This might help explain your cats behavior

You've got some bad cat karma there
Oh man, you hit the nail on the head without even realizing. My wife and I dated towards the end of college. Shortly after college we broke up for a time. When we got back together, she was +1 cat. I really am reaping what I sowed…

i guess this buck has adopted us this season. been in our front yard about2 weeks now. every time we open front blinds we get this look.

Me and this little monkey. 8 years together this past week. Picked him up on Halloween

I told my wife I would get her a French Bulldog on two conditions:
1. If she got a job that didn't require her to travel 20+ weeks out of the year (three dogs is a pain to handle alone)2. I get to name the dog
Jody is interviewing for a job that requires nominal travel soon, so the possible names are
John WickNerf Ball Destroyer of Worlds
Jody should have known better. -
I don't generally prefer small dogs or dogs with genetically mutilated faces, but Frenchies are pretty good dogs despite those characteristics if Jody insists upon one.
I was missing my dog as I travel, so the wife sent me this picture of him. (Yes, I miss her too )

I've always been partial to the name Thulsa Doom. Though for a French bulldog, Napoleon might work.

Any breed that a) cannot get pregnant without human intervention b) cannot give birth without a c section and c) cannot swim because their heads are too heavy I don't care for. They just conflict with my pragmatic side.
I love Rottweilers. I mean, I LOVE ROTTWEILERS. Theres something about their history, personality, and physical appearance that connects with me on a fundamental level.
But what the wife wants the wife gets…plus we already have two Rotties.
Matty, I may hit you up when we're ready. We may also take a look at our local rescues. I do believe there is one local to me that has a pretty high rate of adoption because of animals seized from puppy mills up in PA. Thank you.
Mclain, Jody gets daily photos from me of Hex when she's away, and Jody has me on speakerphone when I'm away for work. Lia is a daddy's girl and gets depressed (she will actually skip meals) so that helps. When we're both away our pet sitter sends pictures twice a day.

@DougNg the Brewster is in PA but it’s not a puppy mill at all. She shows dogs and breeds for the betterment of the breed. Let me know
The French bulldog I got from her is the sweetest dog I’ve ever met. I’ve had dogs all 41 years of my life and he’s the one I’ve been waiting for. He’s a gem
I grew up with Rottweilers. I have two of them. One was a sweetheart and one was huge and not nice. To
Anybody but my family. But they are great dogs. The mean one was gorgeous but scary. -
Frenchies do have some of the best personalities.
Hex is a social butterfly and insists everyone pets him. Lia is kind of a little princess, I'm the center of her universe and she puts up with Jody. Everyone else is an annoyance. I love her to death.
I do appreciate ethical breeders (we will most likely continue to get Rots from breeders). I would hate to see the breed be diluted into history with time.

that’s cool. They are. A great breed

Good breeds should be preserved. I feel the same way about rotties and bouviers. Wouldn't it be a shame to lose some of these great breeds to history?
That said, one of my good canine buddies is a beautiful cross between rottie and Australian Shepherd.
