LVC equivalent for 634S?
-
I've been wearing my 634S for about eighteen months now. It's a great jean for me - I've got a pretty substantial rear and thick legs. Think "hockey player." The slim denim thing doesn't work for me at all.
I'd like to grab a US-made pair of LVC jeans before they're impossible to find. Does anyone have any recommendations as to which of their fits would suit me best? I know the 1947 501 is sorta their "gold standard," but I'm guessing the 1955 might be closer to what I'm looking for.
FYI, I wear a 34 inch waist in the 634S. If you recommend grabbing a slimmer cut in a 36 inch waist, let me know.
Thanks, y'all. Apologies if this is in the wrong forum.

From the IH info pages https://www.ironheart.co.uk/content/our-cuts-jeans :
"THE 634 FAMILY
Any jean with 634 in the model number. This is where it all started for Iron Heart and we consider the 634 to be our "signature" cut. Loosely based on a 1966 Levi’s 501, it is a straight cut jean with a medium rise and slight taper from the knee to the hem".

Thanks for that resource. That's exactly what I'm looking for.

If you are referring to the closing of Cone, it will be a long time before Levi's run out of their White Oak stockpile.
Brands that have only recently taken on Cone as a supplier have 2-4 years worth of denim… Levi's probably have a bit more haha

Edit: Neph got it lol [emoji23]
Btw, after wearing IH for a while, you will be disappointed with LVC I am afraid. Perhaps look at the Warehouse 660 cut or even some Evisu No.1 for a good 1966 repro
