IH-526Lod - 19oz Left-Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Type III - Indigo Overdyed Black
-
I tracked down the video. The guy that played Old Gregg reminded me of Russel Brand.
I can see it, but Russel Brand gets on my nerves.
But i guess H&M denim could remind me of Iron Heart denim. (if i squint hard enough) -
Awesome news!

when's the drop? Can't wait!

Awesome news! Glad I saved my money for this one!

I might be in the same boat. I was so close to buying a jacket in the sale but none were quite right. This might be the one. I kind of wish it was 21oz though. Not sure it really makes any difference mind. It’s just 21oz feels more essential and iconic.

@going_to_battle the 19oz left hand twill is a firm favourite of the guys in the office. Arguably has just as much character as the 21oz, whilst not being perhaps as iconic

That’s good to know.
Am I right that it tends to be slimmer in the body and longer in the arms than most IH type 3s?

While we’re waiting in anticipation for the drop… here’s some more OD lefty porn.
This is the IH-526L-od that is being toured around Europe, the UK and the USA by forum members.
Currently in the middle of it’s second round and spending the summer with me, the wear and tear is stunning...
Check out the tour here…

Wow. I'm so excited for this drop!

@neph93 Nice work! It's also interesting how much the fabric softens up and shapes to your frame with some wear. I tried on a brand new one and it looked completely different, not to mention tough as hell.
The 19L fabric is wonderful. I notice you've referred to it as underrated recently and you couldn't be more right. It deserves to be as féted as the 21oz or XHS. My 666 in indigo are the comfiest jeans I own by a country mile, and the fading is delightful. It's fascinating stuff as it drapes in a unique way as you say.

@going_to_battle I think you're right about the sizing. A few years back, I bought the "normal" version of this jacket and had to return it because the arms were so long. I don't think this has that problem, though, since the overdying process takes out all of the srink. I suppose we will find out soon either way once the measurements are posted. I know they are going to be different this time because of the sizing issues Giles mention a couple months ago.

The last iterations could be described that way. Longer in the body too. Wait for the new dims to come up though, and use the compare function to get an understanding of the fit. You have (or have had), an IH 14oz type III, no? Comparing dims with that will work.

I've had the following type III jackets…
IH-526J 21oz: I sold this because I wanted hand pockets and it was a bit too boxy for my liking
IH-526PJ 21oz: I loved this jacket but there were a couple of issues which resulted in me selling it recently - it was a size large but a tad too small for me, and I could never find the right pair of jeans to wear with it. However, I was very tempted to buy the size XL in the recent sale, as I miss it (I tend to go around in circles like this - I'm way too indecisive).
IH-526ODG olive whipcord: Another great jacket that I owned from new but sold it a few weeks ago because I hadn't worn it much, probably because it was a tiny bit tight through the chest/body, despite being a size XL.
I love the idea of owning an Iron Heart 21oz jacket but I need to find one that's slim fitting and flattering while having room for a layer or two, while also being able to match it with jeans. Doing so is a fine art! I enjoy the challenge though and I'll get there eventually.
