Ship John

I have a handful of Ship John hats. The trucker hats are a bit tall, but when you get used to them they fit great. My brother has a size 8 1/4” head and he cannot fit SJ hats unfortunately. I’m a 7 3/8”.

Looks like the Sashiko sold out. I was able to score one.

Are these cap made to order.
Or ship right away.
.For me they have always shipped within a day or so. I would think they were not made to order and SJ made an order (a number of them) to the shop. I've ordered four hats from them and they arrived within a week of shipping. That's coming from west coast to east. The Wills jacket when it was ready arrived around a week after shipping as well. That's my experience...

@Oaktavia Yes it was the preorder for the Sashiko shirts that were due in late March and pushed back numerous times.
Edit: He occasionally updates via Instagram (I don’t have an account) and very rarely via email. Communication and methods of doing so is something they need to work on.

Ah yes I would be frustrated by that.

I imagine the hats are all made and ready to ship. I know they aren’t made “in-house” at their Portland shop.
-
@Danimal506 I was actually wondering if they made the hats in house.
-
@Mizmazzle I can’t remember where I read it. But they fall under their “trusted partners” umbrella for manufacturing. I don’t mind, personally. The build quality is solid and the materials are always unique.
To my knowledge, the in house stuff is most of the clothing like jackets and denim goods and the bags and leather goods are all in house. But like the gloves and t shirts and hats are all made from outside manufacturers made to Ship John specs.
