IH-526PJ - 21oz Selvedge Denim Modified Type III Jacket - Indigo
-
@aytag Personally, I would wait for the right size. It's a fairly standard item that comes around fairly frequently.
Actually it is in stock here: https://www.ironheart.co.uk/jackets/ih-526pj.html
There are currently 8 smalls in stock.

has anyone handled this jacket in an XS?
I'm a pretty small guy (5'3", 125lbs) and I normally wear women's jackets because men's jackets rarely come small enough for me, but I'm finding it difficult to gauge how "tight" this jacket would fit on me in an XS, especially in the arms.
-
@smalllad I am similarly light-weight, though a bit taller than you. I usually wear IH shirts in size XS (very occasionally an S) but all three IH denim jackets I own are size S.
Your decision will also depend on how you plan to wear the jacket. I always wear my denim jackets over a shirt, and so I need the larger size. But I could probably get away with jackets in XS if a wore them over a tee, just like a shirt.
Oh and of course the most important thing to do is study the sizing charts and compare the measurements to a jacket you already own. When in doubt the guys at IHUK will be able to give you great advice.

I’m your same height and about 145lbs and have the XS. Sometimes I feel I should’ve gotten the S, and here’s why:
• Front feels shorter than back when wearing, and it barely hits the pants waistline.
• The side hand warmers are too high, and it takes a bit getting used to.
• The chest pockets and inside pockets are very small. I can’t fit my hand inside the inside pocket, therefor it’s kind of useless to put anything small in there.
• The leather tag is sowed over the seam that goes across the back, therefore it’s a bit uncomfortable to wear and it looks a bit awkward when new.The sleeves are a good length for me on the XS, and would probably be too long on the S though.
I’ve probably used my jacket 5 times in the 2 1/2 years I’ve owned it (Miami weather), therefore I might sell it and give the S a try instead.

G'day from Australia, first time poster here!
I am eagerly awaiting a restock on the 21oz Type III, I was hoping someone may be able to offer some advice on sizing?
My current Type III is a Nudie jeans traditional (no pockets, shorter length), it is a tag size Large with the following measurements:
20 inch P2P
23.5 Length
17.5 shoulder
27 sleeveI love the fit of the Nudie jacket, it is a slimmer fit that I never layer and wear when it's not overly cold.
Going by the sizing chart, am I correct in assuming a size Medium would fit me best / closest to my current jacket? I am normally large in most jackets, t-shirts etc. So I am a bit hesitant sizing down to a Medium...
Thanks!

@jd488 Hi , I own both a 526pj (the IH jacket I've worn the least) and a Nudie Perry Dry Confort, size XS for the first and S for the second. Nudie fits thinner also because it is much less heavy than the 21oz of IH. In your place I'd take an S if you only want to wear a t-shirt.

Let's get this beasty soaked, arms a bit wide for my taste so i hope the soak helps a bit...! -
Pretty happy with the soaking result, arms a bit tighter and fits great now in all ways... fit pics will follows
-
@Fades-for-future did you hot soak it? how about the length, curious if it shrunk any in there.
-
@mjunderw00d hey man. Nah, just luke warm water for around 30-45 mins. The whole Jacket shrunk a bit but not much in length..
-
@Fades-for-future very good, I've had it for a year but I've worn it very little due to the sleeves being too large. I'll try soaking it at least I'll wear it more often. Thanks
